Hi!

If you're new we want you to feel welcome here in the IDW Transformer Forums!

Introduce yourself, say hi, why you're here (Transformers of course!) and anything else you want to share.

The new mods might even pop by and introduce ourselves, even though we've been here for a while we'd love for new members to know who we are so you can PM us if you have a question!

Cheers!!!

I'm Cattleprod, another one of the moderators. I'm not completely convinced that Andy Schmidt didn't appoint me as a prank on his way out. My contributions so far include updating the release date/solicitation list and having one of my old posts quoted in the proposed rules list.

I have a dumb user name, so to explain: I was posting somewhere and needed to think of a name. The movie Alien was on TV. It was at the scene where they talk about using a cattle prod to drive the monster into the airlock. My avatar is whichever Predacon turns into a bull. I could look it up, but it amuses me I've had an avatar for three years and can't even remember who it is off the top of my head. Headstrong or Tantrum, probably.

I'm Duo, a Transformers fan since the beginning of the franchise.

I love G1 (specifically the Sunbow cartoon) and Beast Wars, hate Beast Machines and don't particularly care for the live action movies. My opinions may not always be the most popular viewpoint but if my opinions happen to clash with your own, don't take it personally.

I also steadfastly support the Vancouver Canucks. It doesn't matter if they're winning or losing, they're my team. I've never understood the mentality of degrading a team when their performance happens to be a disappointment.

My name may be from Gundam Wing, but Gundam is close enough to Transformers to still be somewhat relevant.

I'm Bassbot, a former forum mod returned to the fold (I modded with GeO on the old IDW boards - main job was deleting the spam!).

I only became a fan as an adult when the 80's boom connected with my local comic store and hooked me in. Then the cartoons and toys all flooded back into my life. And then the online journey.

I'd watched and loved it as a kid, and even hit Beast Wars as a teen (earning me the nickname Rhinox at school from one particular kid).

I'm Bassbot for pretty obvious reasons (bass guitar my first instrument, Autobots all the way), and love being a part of IDW's fan community here!

also, I'm quite happy to let Cattleprod enjoy his avatar without fully knowing the name too

Smile

I'm Sparkclaw. Hardly a 'lifelong TF fan' that almost everyone else here is- I only jumped ship after the Live-action movie. I don't own a single toy, have any of the animated-series in disc form (I just catch 'em on youtube), nor the 1986 classic movie. I get much of my TF comic fix from libraries. I do, however, own TF: ROTF on DVD. Cool

Yes, I am a fan.

You can also call me Pessimus Prime if you wish.

Hi xtroguyver here

long time transformer and anime fan

Been actively following the comics since the DW days and for the most part am happy with IDWs output bar a few hicups here and there

I'm a firm believer in constructive criticism when I believe something could be better, so that creators can learn, but by the same token if you impress me I shall praise the work as much as I can

Is currently looking forward to chaos and has been really impress by barbers work on the movie books

I'm Azrael. The kLk stands for my group of homies and is pronounced 'klik', as in clique.

I've been a transformers fan since day 1. I originally hated Beast Wars but admittedly didnt give it a fair chance. Now I'm quite fond.

I hate minicons and cyberkeys. Bayformers is the worst thing to ever be filmed. I dislike the abuse of mass shifting and Powerlinking, but love them when used properly.

Japanese transformers stories need to be erased from existence. The bots themselves can stay.

G1 is Transformers. I advocate bringing other continuity characters in and have no problem upgrading existing g1 to cooler looking bodies from other series. Looking at you Energon Rodimus and Scorponok. Or using forms of them for g1 copies. Ala Armada Megatron for Megastorm.

IDW is handed down the best version of TRANSFORMERS ever. Especially with how it began.
