well ewoks certainly would be. There was great potential with droids though and yes a missed opportunity.

Lucas felt burnt out after the trilogy and wanted to move on and do other things. He was i think involved with willow, howard the duck (terrible) while at the same time working on ILM and making lucasfilm the company it is today. I dont think he put enough care into droids.

He didnt properly direct again until TPM but he did so much work with skywalker sound ilm etc

Lucas is such a visionary. What hes done for the movie industry will never be fully appreciated.

I'd forgotten about TPM 3D.

Between the Blu-Ray's and the 6 3D films, Lucas is going to have a fair bit of cash flowing his way.

Which he can then put towards the TV show
