How much of the Doctor Who Magazine comic strips does IDW have the licence (and intention) to reprint? I can buy Panini TPBs, but they're much harder for me to get here in Canada and many of them out of print. As I plan to buy all the IDW Doctor Who Classics TPBs, I would rather not hunt down Panini just to buy the same strips again later.

Of course I'm not expecting an answer written in stone, but any help, hints, or insights would be appreciated. Can I safely assume that the ninth and tenth Doctor ho strips won' appear in this line, as they're not really "Classic" Who? Will you be covering the McGann comics (please, please)?

Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work!

So far it looks like all of them.
We're up to the Colin Baker comics (that's about a year's worth of stories IMO) and then the McCoy era (that's going to go for a while, there's about a decade's worth of magazine issues there). Then the McGanns (another decade's worth of magazines).

Cool! I'm going to go ahead and order Panini trades for the tenth doctor (I already have the DWM special ninth Doctor collected comics edition), and everything up to (and including) eight I will wait patiently for you guys to reprint.

Thanks foe the Tip!

The solitications up on comics continuum has DOCTOR WHO CLASSICS: SERIES 3 #1 for $3.99, but all the other sites I've seen it has it listed for $9.99. Which is the correct price, and if it is $9.99 are we getting more pages or is it a license issue that constitutes the price jump.

Thanks,
Blake

Well if that's the new price I dread to think what I'm going to be charged for the volume V TPB when it shows up!

Well I know the aussie price is $7, so it could just be retailers profiteering.
Or a mis-print.
