I vote Playstation. I personally never had any use for the Xbox. But it really depends on what games you want to play. Why don't you look at what's available, make a list of whatever games you want and judge whether you'd best served with an Xbox or a Playstation based on that?

I mostly play Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, so Playstation it is for me.

I actually had the same problem a while ago. I couldn't decide whether to buy an Xbox 360 or a PS3. The reason I went with the 360 is because you can play old Xbox games on it. Which is great if you enjoy old games as well as new ones.

The older models of PS3 could play PS2 games, but for some reason Sony discontinued that option. But it does play blu-ray and that's pretty neat.

Yeah, doesn't really matter unless there's a particular exclusive game on one system that you reeeeally wanna play.

PS3 has stuff like God of War, Uncharted, Heavy Rain...

XBox has stuff like Gears of War, Halo, Alan Wake...

Other than that, if you don't have a Blu-Ray player and want one, that's a point to the PS3's favour. The 360 probably has the better multiplayer setup, though (although the PlayStation's is free...). For the vast majority of games, though, you're not really going to notice much difference.

Hey, Final Fantasy 6, 7, 8 and 9 are PS1 games! They matter!

(I do hate not being able to play Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, and Final Fantasy XII and Dirge of Cerberus on my PS3 though... thank goodness I kept my PS2. I do hope they'll do better on the PS4 ...)

hey 6,7,8 and 9 are worth playing (and 10 admittedly)
12 was a perpetual bore-fest in my opinion, liked Dirge though.

and I'm a bit ashamed to admit I gave up on kingdom hearts 1 at the vine swinging stage, I just can't seem to work the bloody thing out!

I really liked FFXII. Okay, so the series has seen better stories... but it was sooooo pretty. Very Happy

(it was also one of the first games I ever played, that might account for something... Laughing)

I thought 8 and 10 were the boring ones... Razz

8 and 10 are my faves! Laughing I just love grinding in an rpg, I usually stick a podcast on my xbox and spend hours grinding.

I finished 12 and still love the final cutscene before the end boss battle, reminded me of the return of the jedi space battle.

have you played tactics or crisis core for the psp?

I'm not ashamed to admit the ending to crisis core had me in tears.....

Oh yeah, Crisis Core is one of my favourite games! I bought a PSP just to play it! (although I've had use of it for other games since then) And yeah, who doesn't cry at the end?

I loved 9 and 10.

I always thought Zidane was a girl. I guess I was too young to understand this whole bishōnen culture or what ever.

X-2 was the saddest game I've ever played....

It was too silly for my taste. And the final boss was realllllllllly disappointing. I practicably poked him with a stick and he died.
