Like the first issue, I really enjoyed this installment. I think it's obvious what the object Kirk is having Scotty install will turn out to be, but it was certainly interesting to see how he received it from the Orions.
I don't have a scan of the cover to provide, but I do have one nitpick which I just happened to notice by chance: the registry for the Enterprise is written as ISS-1701. The registry in the mirror universe remains the same NCC-1701 as the regular Enterprise, as the ISS replaces the USS prefix. _________________ The preceding post is OK to print. |

Not quite as interesting as the first issue but still a captivating storyline. I especially liked the little George Takei trademark "Oh my" that Sulu uttered. Those Orion slave girls are hawt. _________________

Great issue! I had a thrill reading it. Definitely my favorite Trek comic series so far.
The Tiptons are rockin' the mirrorverse for all it's worth, and the art is fantastic. Dark and moody, complimented perfectly by the colors.
And those Orions? DAMN. A great thing about the mirror universe is the Starfleet captains really know how have some fun.
Next issue looks sweet too. Perhaps I'm enjoying this series so much because it actually feels more like "new" TOS/TNG stuff? Less like the same ol'-same ol'? In any case, I hope to see more mirror stuff in the future as well. |

This was a fun issue. Definitely dark and moody which fits the story. I'm curious how the next issue is gonna fit into the whole thing. Sorta odd that it's jumping time periods, but I trust that the Tiptons know what they're doing.
The whole thing with all the gratuitous Orion slave girl shots was pretty funny. I can only imagine some mom picking up the issue for her kid and then sees him reading it and getting it to those pages and freaks out like crazy
But I digress...definitely a good issue, I'm lookin forward to the next one. _________________ "Let us make sure, that history never forgets the name...Enterprise."--Captain Picard |

I finally got my hands on the first two issues and have to say they're really great and very fitting with the rest of the installed universe of the novels and other comics. The story is very cool, specially the part how Kirk gets his parts for the machine and it's always nice to see an appearence of Pike.
Also it were the small things in those issues that make them good, the modern ENT-style of the slave girls but the old TAS-uniforms of the male Orions and (what I liked most) the dark sickbay with stains of blood on the wall, that's really Empire-like.
Can't wait to get the third issue! _________________ 'Play with friends, be a Hero!'
