Bangelight?
Now I'm thinking of bakelite and imagining Angel made of some kind of brittle, old-fashioned plastic.
How about the Twuffy thread? Twuffy's shorter and snappier and easier to say than Bangelite.

That comes out on my birthday & that cover looks incredible. Riley has never been one of my favorite characters, but I did enjoy his part in the S8 comics. Also I love anything Jane Espenson does, including the S8 "Retreat" arc

Chillax Veiriti - it's not shippy. Its a combination of Buffy/Angel/Twilight

Sorry but it's shippy - Bangel is a combo name of the Buffy\Angel relationship and we're talking here about Buffy comic book, not only about her relationships. Angel is only a part of Buffy's comics, not a main character (well, he's the main villain -I agree with it -Twilight was good name for the topic) The Bangel short sex fest was only for one issue and I doubt that it will happen again. Even Buffy barely remembers what's happened between her and Angel.
So I don't see any reason the Buffy chat to be named Bangel(light) chat. And Spike is on the Season 8 too and according his heroic appearance and Joss interviews he will play a big role in Buffy's life. Angel was her Twilight, maybe Spike is her light? What about the chat to be named Spuffylight chat? Spuffy is a combination of Spike and Buffy Am I right?

Does anyone else think those shippy nonclementures are unfair to one party?
In Bangel, Buffy gets one letter.
Spuffy, Spike fairs a little better with two letters.
At least in Cordangelia you have just about the whole names of goth parties  |

Yep, I didn't notice it before!  Yeah, on Bangel Buffy gets one letter - that's unfair!  Angel dominates.
On Spuffy - Spike gets 2 letters, Buffy 4. that's way better, don't you think?

It was not intended to be shippy. You only got took it up that way because of your hate for Angel and anything between him and Buffy. And dont deny it - we all saw your post on Twitter to Brad Meltzer where you state (and I quote) "I hate Angel"

Seriously though it's so much easier being a fan when you dont care about ships. It must be horrible being a fan who obsesses about ships. I dont know how they do it, I really dont. They must live on a constant high state of alert looking out for things which offend their ship, pouncing on the smallest insignificent detail and blowing up out of porportion and seeing offensive things where there jsut arent any.
So yes resa..I agree...good grief!!!

I am a horrible fan currently obsessed about Spike's ship.
So what do you think: yellow submarine, time - travel, home-made from wreckage, who's the copilot (it's a big ship would that be solely handled by Spike), could it be Mal ? |

Angeliclestat, please see my post again – I didn’t say “I hate Angel”. They didn’t display the whole question It was – “I’m a huge fan of Spike and I don’t like Angel/Buffy reunion. Where is Spike?” And yeah, I’m not a big fan of Angel now because that B/A sex reunion! And I was offended with Meltzer’s pro-Bangel comments, calling them “the greatest tv couple” And his cheesy arc even ruined my love of the original show and my love of Angel as a character either. Not his Twilight appearance, that lame flying sex ruined Angel as a character to me! Angel and Buffy got their reunion written in such a way as to dimiss the importance of any other relationships (Spuffy, Cangel, Angel's son)– calling them “destined lovers ”, “yin of her yang”or any of this other crap. Meltzer’s issue 34 was like a slap into my face! And I’m not alone who is thinking it. I had nothing against Bangel before (well it was boring), but I’ve ever seen that relationship as Buffy first teenage relationship. She has moved on. She is adult woman, not a 16 year old girl anymore. And Angel has moved on either. Now Buffy’s character is belittled to a teenager and Angel’s character to a sparkle Edward Cullen’s like cheesy vampire. Getting Buffy and Angel together again wasn’t a good idea at all.
And as one of my friends said in one of our discussion on BuffyTube “It is a slap in the face to every fan who enjoyed the characters of Angel, Buffy and Spike and the journeys of growth and discovery that they went through individually.”

Nope, Anca, his co-pilot is Walsh! Or why not Spider or Illyria!
And if it’s coming from the future it could be Melaka Fray.
But putting the joke aside, I’m so worried about Spike’s character. And Spike/Buffy relationship was build step by step and it made awesome journey to its growth. But seeing all this creators’s disrespect for Spike and S/B couple I have a bad feeling my favorite relationship (and character) will be sacrificed again in a favor of B/A relationship.

To be frank who cares anymore? This story has turned out to be so p*ss poor on so many levels I'm embarrassed for the writers, I really am.
Would you really want any pairing or character you love associated with this trite daftness, which now comes across (to me at least) as Joss after watching a Twilight marathon and dropping some series drugs.

Veiriti, I've spoken to you numerous times about this via PM, but you don't seem to be listening. Every post you write is identical. I hate B/A. I'm scared about Spike and B/S. People are being alienated. You really need to cool it down, now. Please, I beg of you, take my advice. I BEG YOU, VEIRITI, PLEASE LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF EXPERIENCE!! STOP BANGING THE DRUM. You're just hurting your case.

Veriti, Jean-Vic IS the voice of experience in this case. Do listen to him.
additionally, we're a small community here, and we know each other's foibles and quirks and ships based on older posts, we don't need to say it over and again.
Everyone knows I've got a thing for Amy Acker, that I'm a Cordy/Angel shipper and I prefer Angel the TV series to Buffy. Don't need to say it all the time, so I can just post from that position of assumed knowledge and explain what I meant later if someone doesn't have that prior knowledge.
Perhaps it's time you did the same Vertiti, we know your position on matters, so they don't need to be announced, unless they've changed. |
