I have a question for Don or the IDW editors.
Is Don finishing the BW Ascending?
Now to have some beer for the loss of Don on TF books. |
Aye. May he leave, recharge his batteries, and hopefully return to Transformers work someday.
Hopefully he doesn't go the route of Senior and disappear forever save for once in a blue moon. _________________

| He sounds very disastified with what he feels he's brought to Transformers, but he has certainally contributed plenty to the mythos, a fave artist among many fans, and can go into a store and get a figure based on a design he came up with. More than most, that's for sure. |

I got that impression too!
I hope he's okay.
Don's contribution thus far has been tremendous and, not to take anything away from any other TF artists past and/or present, Don has been my favourite artist since I first saw his art!
His attention to detail (and working detail at that) is astounding.
My imaginings for TFs that have yet to be given a WW slant would be non-existant without his contribution! |

He sounds kinda down or just fed up, with TFs or just with life and work in general. Maybe a break from the whole thing would help. Hopefully we'll see him return to TFs at some point. Would be a major blow to the community if he left for good.
He sounds like he wishes he could'a contributed as a writer and feels that would've left a more permanent mark on the continuity. Does he understand how much the community loves his work as an artist and how profoundly his TF art has resonated? He must know surely! |

| Yeah, to me, he took one of the dumber aspects of Transformers (Earth kibble on Cybertron bods) and made it my favorite thing about the revival. |

| That Scarface Megs pic is tight. Reading that interview he did seem like he was unhappy, I hope he knows that everyone really appreciated his hard work. He definitely was my fav, to bad he's not gonna be doing any more TF's. |

Don has done issues 1-3 of Ascending, Guidi is on the fourth. |

Sad news for TF fans. His loss will be felt.
But I can understand him wanting to stretch his creative muscles. So, for that I'm happy for him. |

| Wow man, I'm gonna miss his art. The 1st Transformers comic I bought he was the artist. I wish him the best in whatever he does. |

Don was the best, IMO.
He's too good to be gone for long.
Legends always return home. |

Don and the DW revival was what got me into TF's in a while. Don's art made me realize how detailed, technical and different TF's can be. He inspired me in many ways. The fandow will miss him a great lot.
I understand Don. It's better to leave before you burn out and start hating on the TFs. I hope all his future projects go well (i'll be looking forward to them) and maybe someday he'll be back to drawing TF's. _________________

Great. Yet another minus in the corner of "The Ascending". They just seem to keep piling up, don't they? _________________ Everything I say is OK To Print. |

| Well, unless someone from IDW or one of their moderators tells us what the future holds as far as Don is concerned there's not much to speculate. |
