Up until today, my wife has never understood comics, she has allways appreciated the great art but had never read a single issue.

But today, I brought home the new "Buffy" comic just for her, as she is a huge fan of the TV show.

After one page, she said "I LOVE COMICS!"

Admitly, it was one of the sexiest things she's done Smile

Normally I hear all about her day when I get home, but today I had to amuse myself for a while.

All through the issue she was like "Oh, you have to see this" and "This is so cool"

At the end, she was feeling a little jipped when I explained that she would have to wait 4 weeks for the next issue.

That why I only give my misus Access to trades.
While she won't admit to the comic love. I'd say she's read every non Transformer and judge dread trade I have.
Some she has enjoyed. Other she been all WTF?

She reads Buffy, some Angel stuff, Anita Blake, and loves Fray.
With most other stuff, she just smiles politely and humours me.

My wife appreciates my comic reading...but never really got into comics herself. She finds them a bit "chaotic" to read because of all the different panels scattered throughout the page.

My girlfriend reads manga and naturally Walt Disney's comics (about 90% of Finns read them or has read). I introduced her to American comics, first Transformers which she just glanced over with prejudice. After five months I managed to get her to read Escalation #1 and she was all over it and read all the issues I had so far. Now she's all the time asking when's the next Escalation coming. I should explain her about the previous issues and try to get her read those too!

I've also managed to introduce to her Sin City, she didn't like Miller's art, and Popbot along with Ashley Wood's art in general. She like's Ashley's art very much. Next I'm trying to introduce Wormwood Gentlemen corpse, but not until I've first read the TPB my friend brought me from NYC!

I don't even try to push comics on my girlfriend -- but I do make her read what I write. I mean she has to, right? She knew the job was dangerous when she took it.

I've been trying to get her to read Pride of Baghdad forever.

I tried to get my wife to read my TF comics. She said she "wanted" to so she can like something I like. Well, everytime I told her I got another issue she'd wait months before reading it, and then I'd have 7 or 8 issues for her to read. I knew that "wanted" to thing was BS. Laughing But she's tried. She actually enjoyed Infiltration. She didn't understand the first 4 pages of Stormbringer and gave up, the same with Shockwave. She started back on Escalation, and now she's given up after issue #3. She says she just can't understand it.... so I've given up...

Mine doesn't read 'em, but she doesn't mind me buying them. And she sees all the comicbook movies along with me and seems to like 90% of them, so that's cool. She loved 300.

My wife goes to all thecomic book movies with me and really enjoys them too. She is actually really excited about the TF movie, which is cool cause she suggested we go to the midnight screening too. SWEET.

Mine has no interest in the TF movie yet which I find surprising, I loved the trailer! But I'm dragging her to see it whether she wants to go or not.

Mine just laughs and tells me to put them in the boxes out of the way or they'll get tossed into the trash.

My wife will read a few comics. She likes Ultimate Spider-man, the Ultimates, All-Star Superman, Superman For All Seasons, Runaways, Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane, and that's about it. She totally supports me in my comic addiction, and loves watching superhero movies and cartoons. She wanted (and got) He-Man cartoons for Christmas. How cool is that?
