So here we are. Around 2 months to go to the return of our favourite vamp. Exciting times to be an Angel fan.

It's a given that there are Angel fans that are still checking out things like Whedonesque and other Whedon related websites. We have seen the excitement about After the Fall there. And I have been searching other non-Whedon related forums and After the Fall has been posted there, to pretty unanimous Oh my God I must get that!. Forums from sites like Empire movie magfazine, SFX magaine, and of course all the various comic websites. And as Ryall mentioned in another thread there will be an image going up on AintitCool next Monday.

But since comics dont get the mainstream press that Movies and Books do, how do we get the word out to the non-comic reading folk who might be interested in After the Fall? IDW can only do so much. So I think the internet is the best tool. If all of us here can take one website we frequent that is non-Whedon based and just post that the comic is coming out, and maybe link to the Urru cover (yes I am a total convert now and take back any doubt I had:)), we can alert more people that wouldnt go into a comic shop,a comic website, or a Whedon related website.

A caveat however. Remember the way the Browncoats (of whom I consider myself a member) annoyed a whole bunch of people with their pushing of Serenity? That would be the opposite of what we want. They went slightly overboard, and actually put people off. Im just talking of one small post to alert people to the comic. Most people might have no interest, but even if we each alert one person then that would be great.

So check the board you might post on, to see if there has been a posting about After the Fall, and if not...post away:)...of course in a relevant section!(Mine was menshealth.co.uk film,book+mag section)


Buffy comic managed to get mainstream press. We mightn't be able to get the same, so I think this one thing which would take 2 mins, could help our vamp with a soul!

Good idea, Angeliclestat, though I don't actually post anywhere that isn't fandom related.

Have managed to persuade my local comic shop to order plenty of copies, though.

It's not a big thing but I have pointed newbies in my comic shop who were coming in for the first time for Buffy season 8,in the direction of the IDW Angel line and have made mention that a canon continuation for Angel is coming like Buffy has.I've found most of the new people coming in for season 8 didn't know about the IDW books for the Angel side of the verse and a "canon Angel season 6" is coming.

I've been flooding Facebook with a lot of ANGEL stuff, hahaha. No one that I actually KNOW (except my mother) likes Angel that much. It's very, very upsetting. I got very angry at two of my friends one day because they called it "that cheap show on Channel 11." I just had to take a very deep breath and think "If only they knew... If only they knew..." lol

I really think that anyone who gave the show a chance would love it. Only thing is, sometimes it's hard to get people TO give new things a chance. Me, for instance? Won't try anything food that I'm not 100% convinced will be delicious lol

I have spread the word at DarkHorse in the Buffy comic thread, make sure all those fans are gearing up to read Angel after the fall.

I also offered to buy someones favorite comic on this board, in another forum, if they would in return buy Angel after the Fall. You know, check out mine and I will check out yours.
