btw Guido's picture of Galvtron looks pretty cool. |
Galvatron as this unstoppable force?
Optimus Prime upgraded to his Powermaster Armour to fight him in the titanic issue 6 of Devastation? |
I'm thinking that Powermaster stuff isn't going to be introduced for quite some time...Furman has to save SOME things for a few years down the line? |
Not Powermasters, just Prime's additional armour.
And later on, we can get the Japanese characters obviously. _________________ Ohh 'Eck! |

I think we will get that, look at what he did to Nightbeat |

I would love to see Galvatron Cyclonus and Scourge as their own army/trio but as revamped as we are getting with this new timeline, I think Cyclonus and Scourge should come in much later. It appears Galvatron doesn't have his own "team" thats why he takes on the Decepticon banner just to use the Cons on Earth for his own mission/purpose for existence.
I'd like to see Galvatron the ruthless yet intelligent TF he was supposed to be in the original TF movie, without being controlled by Unicron though it appears he does answer to someone here as well (maybe a much more ancient Decepticon than him!)
Either way, this run of TF beats out Marvel and DW put together. Bringing the TF in this manner has certainly been stepped up. Maybe Megatron and Galvatron are old acquantances he would trust him to lead his cons while he takes care of himself after the beating Prime is going to lay on him. Maybe Prime takes a beating and deactivates for a while for healing purposes and Hot Rod assumes control. |

I'm pretty certain that Galvatron will be written as a highly intelligent villian. The best villians are the smart ones. I still want to see him kick Magnus's ass
I'm feeling quite nervous about what happens between Prime and Megatron. Removing either of them this early in the story seems a bit odd. It would be interesting to see Galvatron lead the Cons, but I'm not certain how he would easily take charge given that the Decepticons are supposed to be some sort of Galactic Empire? You would presume there is a chain of command in the Autobot and Decepticon ranks? |

All time favorite cover of TF's is the Megs/Galvatron cover from the UK run where they're stepping on Topspin's (?) head - brilliant.
I hope Op beats Megs in Escalation in order to bring in Galvatron as back up - which then requires Magnus to equal the odds.
As for Cyclonus and Scourge, I liked them as a duo rather than underlings to Galvatron. They always struck me as a 'modern' Starscream, always trying to usurp Galvatron. Although with them, you always thought they may actually have a chance.
Shockwave/Galvatron was another fued I always liked. The logic of Shockers Vs. the ruthlessness of Galvatron was a nice counter balance. |

Yeah Nimoy is forever Spock and he was so much more fun once he accepted his fate!
I think Kevin Smith is going through his "I am not Spock" phase what with saying he wont make anymore view-askew universe pictures.
I mean he has created his own cinematic world, he cant ever really just leave it be now, he will in one way or another always have it with him and the sooner he accepts this then he can move into his "I am Spock" phase then even cooler films will come.
It is 2330 in London and I am pretty blasted, soon the morning will come and new comics will be here.
I bought the New Supes comic today as a patch and its a really good tale about the Prankster, very old school. |

Guys, I read through the Nightbeat spotlight again last night and something occurred to me. On Gorlam Prime, Nightbeat found that the inhabitants had begun to turn themselves biomechanical and he assumed that it was part of their evolution. But who else do we know who has been messing around with biomechanics? That's right, Scorponok.
Now, what if Scorponok has been to Gorlam Prime and initiated this new biomechanical era? Nightbeat also observed evidence of outside interference there in terms of technology. It is exactly what was beginning to happen on Nebulos and now Earth. If Scorponok has been there then this raises a couple of extremely interesting questions:
a) did Scorponok bump into Galvatron on Gorlam Prime, who then deprived Scorponok of the rest of his body?
or b) are Scorponok and Galvatron in league with one another?
I'm certain there is a link. It makes sense in terms of the narrative, constantly peeling back the curtain to find an even bigger threat beyond it. Isn't that what Simon Furman said he was going to do? It also directly ties in the Galvatron storyline with what is happening on Earth, making his threat seem more immediate. I guess we'll find out in Escalation 5 and 6.
So what do you think? |

Wow, I can't believe the connection between Scorponok and Grolam Prime hasn't mentioned before, or maybe it has, but I can't remember. _________________

Yup, it is Odd and I dont like it, BUT if Megs is killled this early you can bet at some point he will be back.
We havent even gotten to see Megs is any REAL action. (other than his up coming battle with Prime)

Doubt it, the interview said there going to fight, so I dont megs would trust anyone to he'd fight to lead his troops. ALSO, This makes me think that Galvatron will be new to everyone, a new(old) menace that none are familer with
