IIRC, according to an interview Furman gave a while back, he said that the UK and G2 don't count with regard to ReGen One. _________________ Everything I say is OK To Print, Even the Bad Stuff.

Soundwave deploying the deluxe Insecticons. Cool, that was different.
Kup in a holo-combat simulator, against Galvatron and Bludgeon.. heh heh.
This must be some time after the Last Autobot is destroyed.
Well something new to read on Wednesday. _________________ Everything I post is ok to print, use, copy, use for inspiration, promote world peace, change lives, etc...and so on and so on.

Interesting! Can't wait for Wednesday...
Must admit i had my doubts as to how well Andy's art would stand up in modern comics but that looks really good. The colourist has done an outstanding job as well. |

Wednesday is going to be a great day for all old school fans! It'll be doublely special for me not o ly will I get the continuation of the c ic that got back into transformers so many years ago but I get to celebrate y 15th wedding anniversary that day also. I'm sure my wife will be disappointed when I'm reading and rereading this issue instead of paying attention to her! Lol _________________ In Furman and Roberts I trust!

Hmm. Well, we all knew Furman wasn't going to actively promote/acknowledge Marvel UK stuff, but I'm disappointed he's decided to completely contradict it. Really, what with all the UK releases from IDW there really is no excuse - it's just as easy to access for people as the old Marvel US stuff. His only acknowledgement, it seems, is to rip off all the good ideas from Marvel UK to feed in to the US continuity.
As somebody who's waited for this for over 20 years, I'm a little less enthused; of course I'll still get it, and no doubt enjoy it, but it won't be quite the continuation (of what I consider the "true" TF saga: Marvel US/UK 1984-1992) I was dreaming of.
Art-wise, though, looks terrific. _________________ Some ideas to improve the comic: One: Drift needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine. Two: whenever Drift's not in an issue, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Drift"? |

Loving the preview here. Cant believe after 20 odd years its returning. Makes me feel old
Regarding those up and walking about that shouldnt be Galvatron died and of course he was in marvel US as a different galvatron. Maybe all who died in Time Wars and also up and about as its a different timeline.
Ah the perils of Time Travel.
Maybe.
Even though Im excited about the original story returning I still see MTMTE/RiD continuity as my favourite. But I am excited for this. _________________

The coloring looks gorgeous.
As I'm still working my way through the original series (I read random issues as a kid, but not enough to have the enthusiasm that most folks here have for the original material), I don't have strong feelings about the content yet.
As for Wildman's art... well, it still looks like people in robot costumes to me. I loved his old GI Joe ninja issues back in the day, but personal preference-wise, prefer Guido's take on these characters. Just more of how I personally picture the G1 characters.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Don Perlin to a few alternate covers to these issues, just really bringing back some nostalgia for the original, even if it is completely 80s. |
