Hey all. I miss this forum and all you guys. Let's update each other on how things are going and that fun stuff. What comics and/or books are you currently reading? _________________ http://patrickshand.blogspot.com/ |

Well,I'm reading Buffy season 9(Buffy,Angel & Faith and will be reading the Spike and Willow miniseries) and I'm still reading the Superman,Batman,Green Lantern titles at DC.I've added Justice League too and with Marvel, the Spider-Man titles and the Avengers vs X-Men event.
I just started reading the Harry Potter novels too.I've of course seen all the films but wanted to wait until those finsihed before reading the books.I'm about to start Goblet Of Fire. |

Hi Pat, it sure is a pity that this forum is no longer a very lively place, but it was only to be expected...
The only comics I'm reading at the moment are the Buffyverse ones. Oh, and I recently bought a comic by Zeina Abirached about life in Beirut during the war in Lebanon. At first sight it looked a bit like a Persepolis clone, but it did have its own style and was very enjoyable. As for actual books, I just finished the last book of A Song of Ice and Fire (today, actually) and now I have to think of what I'm going to get next. |

The only ongoing US-comic I read these days is Locke & Key. I tend to pick up books by Ben Templesmith when they get collected ( Wormwood, Fell, Choker).
And I'm waiting for IDW to hopefully start Vol.2 of Starstruck.
Most of my other comics are in French, so there isn't really a point to mention all of them here?
Crusades, by Nikolavitch,Izu & Zhang, is however due to be published in English by Humanoides.
It's a crazy mashup of action, horror, fantasy and sci-fi, set in the period of The Crusades .
And I'm about to start rereading the Nightwatch series by Sergej Lukyanenko soon, since book 5 is coming later this year.
No Buffyverse for me. No point in reading something I'm not gonna enjoy. |

I've only been reading Angel and Faith and Buffy, but god only knows why as I think they're quite poor fare. Angel and Faith is the stronger out of the two, but considering It's only up against season 9 maybe thats not saying much. _________________ "They talk about me in the chatty rooms?" - Angel. |

Heya Pat!
Things are good in Casa Worsley.
Random aside time: I caught the episode of Once Upon a Time with Amy Acker in it ... and is it just me or has she not aged much since doing Angel? Still gorgeous despite it being like a decade later. _________________ Ohh 'Eck! |

Update on the comics I've been reading: I got the first two HC collections of The Walking Dead for my birthday this summer, and although I'm not into zombies at all (yuk!), I was totally engrossed. Now I need to read the other ones too.
Also, I intend to use my leftover birthday money to get Brian & Franco's turtles TPB. After all, "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles" doesn't sound much more stupid than "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" so I guess I should really give it a try.
PS: Daniel, good to see you around. Maybe you could remove those spam threads about handbags etc.? |
