I did mean it in all seriousness. I doubt IDW asked Furman to continue the Marvel storyline.

Why is that hard to believe? They've been publishing a continuation of the Marvel GI Joe series by Larry Hama for over two years. It's apparently successful, so why wouldn't they try it again with their other big Hasbro property?

I'm not saying that it couldn't have happened that way, but what seems the more likely is that Mr. Furman took to initiative (opportunity) and pitched the idea to IDW of continuing the Marvel series.

Then surely a BW petition is more worthy now than ever of coming into existence? Hell, even if its just Transtech in print...

Stop teasing! I want my TRANSTECH!!!

BTW, where did you find that Dinobot art, and do you know the concept? Was Transmetals supposed to kind of head in a Beast Machines direction?

Concept Art was from the Wiki. BM instantly came to my mind when I saw it too but this was the concept Transmetal form of Dinobot 1 and he is the only one that looks like that. His altmode looks like a snake with skis though to me which definitely would have put it among the weirder ones in the line.

it's no weirder than a rat with wheels, a cheetah with rocket boosters, an ape on a hoverboard and a t-rex with roller skates

Always ignored the roller skates on Megs. Aside from them I always thought the TM design was his best look in the series. Its just not what I would have expected a vehicle mode for Dinobot to be I suppose.

*Bump*
As 'something Beast Wars' was hinted for next year's Anniversary I thought a crazy wishlist is in order...

My Pick:

Masterpiece Beast Wars

A series of figures potentially more detailed than the source TV show. Some, such as Ravage, actually getting a show accurate design. Plus actual show accurate scale among the cast Shocked

An all-new Beast Wars ongoing comic book series set either in
1) set in all- new and all-different universe from the TV and all other TF comics.

or
'
2) Set in the IDW G1 Universe. Let Roberts and Barber figure out how to make it work. Razz

Something set between G1 and BW would be nice

The end of the war.

The downsizing (connected to micromaster technology of course)

The rise of the Maxis and the Preds

Maybe have someone like the veteran interacting with some of the BW characters

-----

Also, Spotlight Protoform X

------

And finally. Give us that BM sequel we've all been waiting for. Where Shockwave and Starscream are brought back online after the great formatting, allowing them to interact with the likes of Rattrap and Cheetor

A BM sequel would be fine but a shift in art direction would be essential. Also Starscream is "online" in BW.. as a floating spark, but still.

In what way? Towards RID (the show not the comic), the Unicorn Trilogy, Animated, Prime, the LAMs, G1 or Beast Wars?

Away from the BM 'stylised' art direction. Something more BW would be great.

I think as long as it's explained in a way that makes sense it could work.
