Hi all, long time lurker, second time poster!

I was looking over all of my Dreamwave stuff the other day and started to wonder why IDW doesn't follow them in regards to posters and other bits.

This is something I'd very much like to see, particularly posters depicting characters from the two new series. Imagine how awesome a cross section poster of the Lost Light would be!

I'm also interested in why there have been no guides made, something similar maybe to Dreamwave's MTMTE books, but maybe instead of doing character profiles they could concentrate on expanding the universe.

When we consider that the Ark books and Allspark almanacs have been published and well received there must be some interest in these things.

What are your thoughts?

Ive been interested in seeing character profiles on the inside back cover of some of the cast of both books every issue. Particularly for the less well known bots and it would be especially useful for new readers not overly familiar with some of the cast.

Id like IDW to release a poster book for both series which could be released after every 6 issues or so featuring maybe all the covers minus the dialog and alternate scenes from each issue and maybe early sketches of some scenes.

Id snap it up for sure.

I want fully fleshed out profile bio books. One series for the Autobots, in order of Rank. And ditto for the Cons.

Anything else is gravy.

I want art books and profile books... not so much posters, because I already run out of wall space as it is. I'd like to see both new profiles specifically based on the IDW universe and reprints of the old Marvel profiles. IDW's reprinting everything else - why not those as well? (especially since we're getting ReGeneration One and all...)

Put Jim Sorenson and Bill Forster on it. I know they'd love to do a book like that.

Id second that. Id love a good IDW Profile book of the cast of Autocracy, MTMTE and RiD. Not to mention stuff from the -ations and Regeneration one.

I'd love a new set of Profiles (I still refer to the DW ones a fair bit).

I don't know if it's the right time. The debacle that was the Beast Wars profile books is probably tainting a lot of people's thoughts still. Once bitten, twice shy, and all that.

What if Nick and/or James would write it?

Hell no. I don't want them doing profiles when they could be making more awesome comics!

This is true... We need to work on those cloning techniques.

I was actually wondering about this. Matt Moylan mentioned on Lilformers something about Hasbro being very aware that Dreamwave had a lot of influence over the TF IP as they went a bit crazy making comics, poster etc, and that may be why they didn't get the Joe comic.

If Hasbro are worried about this kind of thing then perhaps IDW are restricted in what they can print? (But if this were the case wouldn't the Allspark and Ark books be of the kind that Hasbro fears?)

Devil's Due already had the Joe license before Dreamwave got the Transformers license. They outlasted Dreamwave by a fair margin, too.
