Well, I've identified another mask mistake in TMNT #8. In the interest of owning up to this problem, I'm starting this thread. For every error I should be publicly reprimanded with mean names and thrown fruit!!

Seriously, I try very hard to avoid this, looking at each issue many times over. Nonetheless I miss some, and when I see it I'm flabbergasted that I could have missed it each time.

Anyway, here is my official tally. Let me know if you spot something that I have missed!

-TMNT #6: page 5, panel 1 (Leo/Raph switch)

-Infestation 2 TMNT #1: Page 20, panel 1 (Leo and Raph both in blue)

-Infestation 2 TMNT #2: Page 9, panel 2 (Raph and Don wrong colors)

-EDIT: Infestation 2 TMNT #2. page 20, panel 1 (Don in red. sigh)

Same page, panel 3, Mike appears to be missing mask or has green wraps.

-TMNT #8: Page 13, panel 4 (Leo and Raph both in red)

-TMNT #10: Shredder wears gloves the first couple of pages, they disappear after he gives order for ropes to be cut, and onwards

-Similar mistake continues in TMNT #11

Like you said, things like this slip by. And then you go "...How?"

I've read books about brain science that explain why you missed these things. Fascinating stuff.

But hey, if it makes things easier...

Just make sure the mistakes never get as bad as in the old show:

Two Leo's and two Raph's, and a total of 5 Turtles overall. Rolling Eyes

Coloring mistakes aren't much of a concern to me. All comic books have them, it's just one of those things that happen. Is all good with me.

I know it's not a mask thing, but page 12, panel 1 shows Don missing the left knee wrap, then page 14, panel 1 contains a wrist wrap color error on Leo and shows all Turtles missing the knee wraps. Page 21, panel 1 shows Mike missing the right knee wrap rather than the left.

Minor consistency quibbles, which is inarguably a pain in the ass to keep up with.

Do note than I'm not nit-picking nor am I displeased, but the topic title caused me to go back and flip through my comic. :]

This isn't a color mask mistake, but I suspect it is a coloring mistake nonetheless. I believe when you first see The Shredder in the first page or so of #10 (sorry, I don't have the issue in front of me at the moment), you can see that he is wearing blue gloves. Yet, in all subsequent panels, he is clearly not wearing any gloves at all. What makes it more confusing is that the cover has him wearing the blue gloves as well.
