It was a good start for the new season. A little bit disappointed Optimus Prime only was Orion for a short time (although I thought it was a pretty bold move to make). I loved it that Arcee got a chance to shine though - I do like this incarnation of the character. Loved the Insecticon too - although I'm still rooting for Insecticon Bob to make an appearance and possibly end up a steady member of the cast... That would be way cool.

Agreed a good start to the season. Hopefully we will get some great episodes like we did last season.

No! BETTER ones! Mr. Green

I do think Prime's starting to find its stride and growing to be its own thing. Which is good. And so far, what I've seen from the toys looks amazing, too!

I do love the keeping to lore here, and I'm happy enough with the time Orion had, at least he wasn't here and gone in the same episode as some previous incarnations might have gave him in the same story idea.

I think 3 was enough to be believable before he'd figure out things.

Not to mention, it was great to see Cybertron, I do love Arcee's saddened reaction to it, and I especially loved the shot of Vector Sigma there.

For what's to come, I can only imagine, but I look forward to what the Prime team come up with next, I know I want to see who else they'll create, I have the Soundwave toy and have been enjoying that of recent, but my eyes long for the TF Prime Bulkhead toy... >>

I want a toy based on that Insecticon. I'm pretty sure he can be remodelled to pass for Bob...

Ive enjoyed the first two episodes of the new season. I noticed a subtle nod to SW in Episode 2 when the decepticons contact the space bridge and the human talks casually to the decepticons saying everything is ok. Its similar to Han Solo in the original movie when hes on the Death Star detention level and hes talking over the intercom to an imperial. Laughing

It's growing on me. I'm starting to appreciate this version of Soundwave. He's just portrayed as this dark badass.

Megatron is pretty awesome.

Seen the first two eps of season 2, so far loved the scene where Soundwave opens the ground bridge and drops Arcee in the Artic.

And the Starscream action, sweet. Pretty much like all the Cons.

I like all the generic vehicon, seeker, troops. All this gun fodder while keeping the cast small.

Ratchet, Arcee, Optimus, are excellent, Bulkheads ok.

When will Bumblebee talk??? Ever?? He'd be cool with a friggin voice!!

Edit: Just watched EP3. Nice, to have a Megatron who doesn't retreat every episode.

Yeah Can't wait to see this universe's version of Shockwave. Or Grimlock.

I'd have liked to have seen more of Orion.

I've just watched episode one (with my daughter - she loves Prime so was confused at Prime not being called Prime! She's only 3 but she gets it) and I loved it.
I can't wait to watch the next two parts.

If it keeps going like this i'm gonna have to get the dvd (or blu?).

Things I especially liked:
Orion's character - genuinely portrayed, great (non)reaction to Starscream at the end.
Starscream - yes, need more, love his claw-face slash a la Overlord on Springer.

Megatron - we need more of him. I've forgotten the voice actor but this episode totally won. Because of him. Give him more dialogue like this and you'll be fine. He wasn't menacing the whole time. Seeing him interact with Orion was awesome and let the veil back a little from his gruff, determined exterior. We saw more of the plotting and control of Megs in this episode that the whole of the first season (fittingly - he's playing the long game now it seems).

Arcee - badass but not psychotic. She is VERY effective at everything she does. Seems like a mix of 10% G1 arcee with 90% Animated Prowl. Awesome.

Need a fix:
Bumblebee must get a voice. Ditch the beeps. Soon.

Action - the one extended action scene - Autobots vs Knockout and Breakdown was pathetic. Actually. it wasn't extended from memory. (Apart from Arcee's jump through the ground bridge - that scene was awesome).

Plot - NOTHING happened until the end. Arcee's efforts don't confirm anything. Jack comes to a grand plan that was fairly obvious. And then Starscream returns and we know he's gonna screw up Megatron's plans.
