oh, and they're not mutants. they're aliens.

So if they're not mutants and from another planet, they can't very well be ninjas as ninjas are from japan: earth. So they're super warriors or something.

(... it's not off topic... transformers are aliens, right?)

I will admit, I enjoyed the Ninja Turtle Movies when I was younger..thought they were good campy fun.

The last Animated flick was way better than I expected....

The whole idea of four small turtles dipped in radio active slop was "REACHING".... lol Just my opinion... But Yeah it would need to be "Teenage Alien Warrior Turtles" now. Wink

Or They were crash landed in ancient japan, learned the way of the ninja, and then got frozen in ice or got slapped through some mystic portal to the future and made some crazy new friends?!?!?!? LOL

You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried.

Next he'll be telling us the thirteen were built by humans on earth, that the Doctor is a human who built his TARDIS in his backyard and that Jedi are grown on trees

I was just about to say that sounded familiar...

Back on topic, this news doesn't surprise me in the least. Look at the 'Formers movies: this is what Bay does. Takes a well estabilished franchise (I hate using that word) and then bastardises it to make money, while making the film vaguely even match up to the original subject matter. Although saying that in the most recent animated series Shredder was a "Krang", which I wasn't entirely sold on.

Well, ya got to give Bay credit where it do. Those 3 movies made a ton of money, because they appealed to the movie going masses. I will admit to enjoying the special effects and the explosions were cool.

But said from the first flick, the other two were less then desirable. And only Optimus and Shockwave looked anything like the G1 characters.

Bay-turtles will probably have similar success but not as great as TF. I could be wrong but TF has always been the stronger franchise.

Teenage Alien Turtles who love pizza, human girls, and just so happen to be students to the ninja arts.... Lol

Could be Bays first bomb too.

Splinter was always the most far fetched part of Turtles anyway. Still it was an animal parody of Marvel's Daredevil so realism was never really in the top 10 of its priorities..

Isn't it strange that M.A.S.K is probably the only 80's show that no one has talked about making a movie of recently? I think it could work quite well. You'd have to get rid of the son and T-bob but it could work, maybe better in live action than the 'Formers.

I want a Dinoriders movie. There is absolutely no way you can screw up 'dinosaurs covered in laserguns', surely.

I Still can't believe they are making Captain Planet... they do realise the human race would be the bad guys of that movie? It will play out much like the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still Laughing
