So everyone has been suggesting Tristan as the writer of the new TMNT comic. I want to suggest an artist Ross Campbell if you don't who he is he did the covers for Raphael Bad Moom rising and did a couple frontispieces and was going to do the art for a tales comic that went unfinshed because of the buyout. But he's a talented guy who still wants to work on the TMNT comics. I think IDW would be wise to pick him up. At any rate you can check out some of his art here. http://mooncalfe.deviantart.com

OH YEAH!!!
I remember those covers jumping out at me and made me wish the enteriors were the same. Ross has a very nice, distinctive art style. I've read all of his Wet Moon trades and would buy the crap out of any TMNT comic done by this guy! _________________

ABSOLUTELY!
IDW, Ross Campbell is the ideal choice for your new TMNT comic. His artwork finds a perfect balance between his own vision for the Turtles while keeping in mind the original art of the first few issues of volume 1 by Eastman & Laird.
Realistic, distinctive, and most importantly respectful to its original form, Ross Campbell would, in my opinion,be the best choice for the new TMNT comic.
I'm going to top this off with a "PLEASE!"
By the way, I would love to hear the reasoning of the one who voted "no." Why do you vote down and then do not speak your mind as to why you cast your vote? Seems pretty low to me. |

| The unbelievable combination of Eastman & Laird's original mold mixed with Campbell's own style...now that's what I'm talking about! This guy is seriously perfect for this job. |

Bump!
Let's show some more love for Ross!
My favorite "official" Mirage art that Ross did was the front page to one of the TALES issues, the one with Donatello and the worms. I can't think of the issue # off the top of my head, but this piece is fantasic. |

Do you mean this one? Because it wasn't a cover it was a pin-up in Tales of the TMNT #29.

As much as I like Ross's artwork, I'm not voting either way because there are simply too many great artists that should be given the chance to draw the Turtles at some point.
This issue is inherently different than campaigning for a specific writer. Personally, if Tristan does land the book I'd want Paul Harmon back with him since they work great as a team. That dynamic really comes across in the artwork and I feel it really helps pull the whole ensemble together. _________________ Yep, okay to print me! |

| I like Ross' art and I'd be happy if he did the book, but personally I'd prefer Dooney. After the classic Eastman/Laird look, Dooney draws (IMO) the definitive TMNT. |

That's it, but I never said it was a cover...I said it was the front page...meaning, the first page. But yes, I *love* that shot of Donny, and the other one posted by Goonga I am very much familiar with...it is an image of pure bliss. |
