Now I'm pretty sure I've linked to this interview before, but I thought I'd bring it up again as some of the things said might relate to issues and/or discussions in play now. For instance:

Quote:
CraveOnline: On a completely personal-favorite note, I was really enjoying the way Thundercracker's character was developing, but I'm completely in favor of keeping the big space robots off of Earth and out in the rest of the universe, as seems to be the case here. Do you happen to know if TC going to make his way back to Cybertron at any point, or is he going to continue to take his chances with the humans? His particular viewpoint could be very interesting in Robots in Disguise - not your title, but I imagine you might likely be in the know anyway.

Roberts: I might well be in the know, but if I say anything John will exact a terrible revenge. Suffice to say that Thundercracker is too good a character to waste.

Sooo... there might be plans for Thundercracker?

Quote:
CraveOnline: Grimlock and the "Dynobots?"

Roberts: Watch this space; in fact, watch several spaces...

Ahahaha... well, we know that one, don't we?

Quote:
CraveOnline: Fireflight and the Aerialbots (the subfactions have never been particularly close in IDW's universe, it seems, what with the relative lack of gestalt action and one of the Constructicons being dead, so maybe splitting up the Aerialbots would happen - and Fireflight seems like a perfect choice for the Lost Light crew).

Roberts: Fireflight considered joining the Lost Light but was talked out of it by someone with a vested interest. There: we've used the interview to add a bit of in-universe detail.

Vested interest... like the possibility of gestalt-mode, maybe?

Quote:
Whirl is psychotic and... well, we'll have to wait and see if he has any redeeming features.

Things in the works for Whirl...

Quote:
CraveOnline: Trailbreaker (for the love of god, do something with him that doesn't involve a force field!)?

Roberts: Trailbreaker is a recurring supporting character in MTMTE; he says something in issue six that made me laugh out loud - of course it remains to be seen if anyone else has the same reaction

Caption this! See if we can come up with something funnier than the actual line! Laughing

It would be interesting to see TC return to the spotlight in one of the Ongoings.

Does he even know how the war ended? Did he try to find out what happened to Cybertron? Are there other bots on earth who couldve told him or is he the only one left there now?

He might decide to return to Cybertron now the war is over just to see it for himself.

But ignored because he wanted to watch the season finale of CSI NY. Laughing

Well, you joke, but Thundercracker flat out stated he didn't care about Cybertron in Police Action, and he is intrigued and fascinated by Earth. I doubt he'd be interested in leaving.

He did. The only way he would leave was if he got a lot of grief from the earth authorities or he simply didnt care about Ted Danson being in CSI Las Vegas. Laughing Laughing

I joke or am I?

I do wonder though. It's like Bee said: watching television isn't going to be enough for Thundercracker. What kind of purpose will he find on Earth?

It's hopeful that James hinted the story might be picked up again. Because Thundercracker's tale isn't finished by a long shot and I'm curious to see how it will play out. Will he end up at odds with the human population, or somehow end up working together with them for a common goal?

I'm telling you, ThunderVerity will be in MTMTE, along with Rung/Columbo and a brutally murdered Whirl. Even if I have to write the story myself.

I always thought Thundercracker would have arrived to save the day in Chaos. Then I thought well Police Action would be the logical place but he didnt show. We last saw him in issue 21 taking off. Where did he go?

He was one of the few bots that Mike wrote that was written well. I became a fan of him more then Starscream.

I just have to say- I bet barber and Roberts follow-up on just about anything. With other creators I always worried that important events would not be followed up on but after reading issue six of barber's title- I feel like I can relax and just enjoy the story. I don't really know how licensed books work but in this case I wonder if hasbro will force idw to bring the big war back. And if it is brought back I wonder which characters will be the instigators. I'm still waiting for megatron and galvatron's return and what changes to the status-quo that might bring about. I-too- am curious what transformers are still on earth. Anyway- I'm loving and trusting our new writers. And that feels good.

I hope Thundercracker remains on Earth, it just wouldn't be believable if every single TF left it. Who knows? Maybe he falls in love with a human. Joking aside, regardless of how everyone hated him, there will be a day when Spike's character needs to be addressed. Even if it's just to kill him. So the inevitability of an Earth story will happen and Thundercracker ought to be there. The last thing I want is for Roberts to plug Thundercracker into mtmte and turn him into Swerve 2.0

It has to make sense to the storyline for it to happen. Which it will.

Spike sadly will have to be addressed eventually. But hopefully not for a long long time.
