Out um... a week already! Discuss!

I only got my copy today. Sad But it is good as always! This issue seemed to be particular big on the banter, which I loved - made me laugh out loud a couple of times! (I gotta stop reading these things on the bus...)

Was sad to learn that the awesome Bree cover I liked so much was an incentive, though. Crying or Very sad

I am so glad they went digital. I hope soon to be up to speed on this comic.

so, finally found the time...

first, the art: an entire issue of the same artist, yeah, AND... It's Di Vito, yeah yeah yeah Smile

second, the story: I have to start with the end: Can Khal survive this?? It seems unlikely, that he will die because he is on the cover of the next issue, and it would be so hard, just in the moment, when he meets Danni again. But it would be good move from Rogers, because it's unexpected (at last I was surprised) and from now on you ever have to fear for the characters (expect Adric - I still cannot believe he will kill him). I thought that I read an interview with Rogers, that there will be character death, but i just looked and it wasn't the one in Issue #0. So, what do you think, will he die? They have no real healer in their group. Khal, as paladin, is, in game terms, the best healer, but only for allies.

the rest of the story: it starts when Dannis mother wants Khal (and his friends) killed. At the end of the last issue they started a safety system in a dwarven mine to stop a Kruthik invasion, but now they are trapped in the mine, with a LOT of Kruthiks. They escape the Kruthiks, and I have to agree with Sprite. It's great banter there. Then the first turn of events: The Kruthiks aren't send by an evil mastermind (which Dannis mother told is Dannis guilt) but they are fleeing (nice!). So they come to an underground castle, which cires EVIL from every aspect (the bone raod to castle, the real big skull over the front door). And then they are attacked by some nasty creatures, which reveal in the battle, that they indeed have a master. And so we come to the end again.

So, lets discuss following questions (if somebody wants):

- Will Khal really die?
- Is Tara (Tishas sister) the evil mastermind?
- WTF are the attackers? I don't recognize this sort of monster and that annoys me...

I didn't recognize them either, and was really looking forward to seeing a stat block at the end, but... nothing.

There haven't been any letters for a few issues either, what happened with that?

in the next issue it was revealed that they are foulspawn.

there is a new editor for the dnd issues. maybe that's the reason that there are no more stats and letters. or there are too few letters. if that is the reason I don't hope it's 'cause there are too few readers.

Well, since they are launching other brands, I would hope the readership is decent.

Although I have full collections of the old DC comics from the early 90s, and I don't think any went beyond about issue 35... many ending sooner than that. Sad
