No one has posted this yet, so I will!

Matt Frank, cover artist for Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters was interviewed on Kaijucast (a kaiju-themed podcast by Kyle Yount) yesterday:

http://www.kaijucast.com/

At the end of the interview he announced IDW will be releasing a 5 issue mini-series coming at the end of the year titled Godzilla: Legends!

Each issue will be independent of one another with different artists and writers featured each issue, and the first issue will be written/drawn by Matt Frank himself! He also mentions it will feature Anguirus versus Destoroyah.

I'm looking forward to this.

Is that film any good? I was going to try and hunt it down at some point. That suit is so much better than the hideous thing that was King Kong.

Back on topic sounds interesting. A series of one shots with new teams for each.

As much as I love Angilas...that sounds like a SQUASH match to me...witch Angilas getting squashed bigtime. He's a scrapper with heart, and can pul out some sweet moves from time to time, but man, Destroyer is a beast.

...If we don't get a Godzilla/Ghidorah or Godzilla/SpaceGodzilla tag team against...well Destroyah and Orga or something.

Heck a Godzilla/Biollante tag team would be awesome.

Come on IDW and Fanbase, MAKE IT HAPPEN! Very Happy

I want to work on one of these books so bad. Is there a try-out to be an artist on one of these books... Or have they already selected them?
I would love to bring a Herb Trimpe/John Byrne feel to one of the stories.
I'm open to doing sample pages :

Thanks for the the support MG Very Happy
I'm so influenced by the Shogun Warriors and Godzilla series that Marvel put out and the amazing art of Herb Trimpe. I love action but good pacing and strong storytelling. My background is storyboards for animation, film and television (Ad agencies). I just wrapped up work on a comic book called Penny Dreadful's Cauldron of Terror- due out in October (sorry no giant monsters) but me and my partner have our own comic book creation inspired by the Shogun Warriors and you can view some of the sample pages here :
http://www.killingthegrizzly.com/robot-god-akamatsu-by-james-biggie-frankie-b-washington/

I love Godzilla, Kaijus and giant robots and if someone from IDW could get in contact with my rep or vice versa- I would love to work on some sample pages- I ink my own work as well.

Nice story. well paced and well drawn. You have a flavour of Shogun Warriors, Daimajin and Kaiju in there. Any more in the pipe line?

These should be right up your street then as the saying goes.

I own a number of the chogokin figures - Combattler V and the black Reideen as well as some of the original Shogun Warriors. About 2 months ago purchased the second MechaGodzilla chogokin (Head comes off) and I already own the original grey one.
I also own over thirty of the original Shogun Warrior pages signed by Herb Trimpe as well as an original Godzilla head shot from him as well.
I'm definitely a fan Very Happy [/i]

There was a reply to a letter in the recent Godzilla comic that Space Godzilla will make an appearance at some point, i wonder if this was what they meant?

Now they just need to give a sizeable story to Titanosaurus and Biollante (in her final form, not that rose flim flam) and i will be one happy big G fan!

I would love to see Titanosaurus come back to the screen and what about some robot love for Jet Jaguar Razz
