I'd love to say that I was going to buy this. But times being what they are, I'm subtracting from the pull list, not adding.

Well at leastm unlike in the Star Trek/X-Men case, they're not so differently drawn that it strains credulity that they could coexist in the same space-time.

I'd say the fact they went with the DC property that fits best with Star Trek instead of something more 'commercial' should be a good sign.

My favorite sci-fi series with my all time favorite super-hero team? And a Giffen cover? I'll sit at my local comic book store and start waiting now!

I'm also reminded of TOS/TNG/X-Men here....and I actually liked it....never read much of the Legion before but I think it's defenitely wort a try/buy and from what I gathered of the story, it looks quite interesting

What's so bad about that?
I'd love to see the Doctor dosed with Joker gas and say "I don't get the joke" Very Happy

....funny thing with the Doctor.... not only that the TOS-Spinoff with Gary Seven would've esentially been some kind of Doctor-like series in the ST-universe....I also have found two ST-books now where the Doctor is kind of mentioned some way or another.... not in a direct way, but if you know what to look for you'll get it.....an there's also a fan-created adcenture for the Dr Who RPG where the Doctor and Martha end up on the big old E...

There are quite a few Doctor Who refs in Trek over the years, many of them listed here:

http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Doctor_Who#Doctor_Who_references_in_Star_Trek

In terms of novels, "My Enemy, My Ally" has people watching a 4th Doctor episode, "Ishmael" talks about the 2nd and 4th Doctors, "Blind Man's Bluff" has Soleta talking about meeting a fellow that sounds a lot like the 10th Doctor.

Sonic screwdrivers have popped up in a couple of novels too over the years.
