I'm sort of surprised there's no thread about this yet.

Anyway, I thought it was a great issue and it demands a spin-off for sure. The art was really well done over all, Messina was able to capture a young Picard. I liked how they threw in Jack Crusher...and even in this universe he get's a short life. If they ever do a spin off, it'd be cool to see Wesley Crusher trying to exact revenge and kill Picard.

One thing I really liked was that they were able to incorporate a lot of details from the TOS and DS9 mirror episodes and then inserting TNG characters. It was blended perfectly.

The only thing I thought was odd was that the ship wasn't named Stargazer. Other than that, it was a really enjoyable book.

despite the fact that it messed the dates a bit, at the time of the young Picard the Empire had already been defeated by the Alliance, nevertheless I can't wait to read the comic
