I think he is starting slow, going alphabetically. Personally, the next time we see a freaking fireman on the Joe team better be the week after NEVER.
I truly truly hope and pray that IDW keeps the Joes a COUNTER-TERRORIST organization. No firemen, no Eco-Warriors, no ATF/DEA, no cops, no pets, no MEGA MARINES, no NINJA FORCE, no Joes in SPACE, and especially no alien transforming robots. |

Surely a self contained team like the Joes NEED a fireman on base?

No. My old combat boots have put out many a fire all by themselves out in the field, and if a top secret underground base doesn't have the proper amenities in which to stop a fire, without having to wait for that one person, well that is not a very safe underground base that I would want to live in.
Duke: Uhhhh, Hawk we got a situation here.
Hawk: What is it Mr. Fantastic?
Duke: We got a grease fire in the kitchen. Gung-Ho has been cooking again, and none of us have a primary specialty of Firefighter.
Hawk: Where is Barbecue?
Duke: Beer run.
Hawk: How many times do I have to tell you not to send our only fireman off base! You guys are #%@#$@! |

The only thing that goes to infinity and beyond are this guy's lists of who he wants in the comics. |

That's just his code name. His friends call him Buzz.

Agreed, all the way, 100% there, Shane. the DEF/Mega Marines , Eco Warriors and Star Brigade -along with Cobra La, Billy, Siobhan O'Hara, & Max Hauser represented the nadir of GI Joe. Ninja Force? It had a good concept, but execution was dumb-and watering them down to jokesters in day glo outfits? Yech!
I myself never understood why Hasbro/GI Joe ever thought that Dreadnoks, a Firefighter/Falconer/Pointman/Swamp Fighter (Gung Ho's already on the payroll and he was born ina swamp cajun clan) & Samurai warrior had any validity in an anti terrorist team. _________________ "Let us renew our faith and our hope.
