I've actually heard rumors that they snuck him away and are working on keeping him alive in secret. Some Marvel dude (Quesada?) said something about that when talking on CNN or something about how comicbook deaths are never really permanent.

Until they brought Jason Todd and Bucky back.

I'm now hoping that Uncle Ben gets reincarnated as a supervillain.

There is currently an alternate reality Uncle Ben who seems to be a bad guy over in Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man.

Very nice cover for #1 of the series, I have to say. And it quite clearly shows that Captain Americs lives! He lives! He liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiives!
