Doubledealer Spotlight there is the first thing that stands out for me! Awesome to see Dan Khanna get his first original IDW book (not counting the TF: Cybertron mini) and I L-O-V-E that cover ! PERFECT play on the charachter with the playing card there, love the 'D' for Decepticon and 'A' for Autobot card suits and the charachters mirror images on the card, one for each suit, it's just a perfect visual and ties into so many things as it pertains to Doubledealer from his personality right down to his name. Poifect !
More pics here too:

I'll go into detail later about how awesome all of the guys from IDW were, but right now I have to go clean my wife's fish tank, wash some baby bottles, and a few other chores to make up for her letting me go geek out to the maximum yesterday. Oh and she just surprised me with a copy of Mariokart Wii too, so I owe her big time. In the mean time, here are some pics I took of IDW's booth yesterday. Click on each pic for a larger view.
Chris Mowry, co-writer of Reign of Starscream, and some deranged fan that made his own Wheelie t-shirt. Clearly this guy needs help.
Also, I was all set to film the entire IDW panel from yesterday. I had a tripod and everything. The camera was fired up. I was planning on doing a wide shot of the panelists, followed by a camera pan of close ups. I was already editing it in my head. It was going to be a cinematic masterpiece that I was share with everyone here via youtube. Like I said, I was ready.
But right as the panel was starting, a Botcon Convention Staff member walked up to me and informed me that no filming was permitted. Bummer. Sorry I couldn't share the experience with everyone. You got to hear how sexy these guys voices are in person. Just reading their online posts and blogs don't do them justice. _________________ -OK to Print-

Computron, our man on the inside! Thanks for the pics, man! And your shirt looks fantastic.
I love that DoubleDealer cover even more now. It's nice to see there's more propaganda art for AHM as well. |

UC, you look like you had a blast, and I also LOVE the t-shirt (especially the colour). You have the look of the "early bird who caught the juiciest worm". Thanks for all the time and trouble you took to provide us "wanabee-there's" with some excellent photos and info. And thanks to 'the wife' for being sooo understanding- you treat her nice now, ya hear! _________________ We are an advanced lifeform. We seek peaceful co-existence. (ST:TNG) |

Hope you enjoyed the con. I had a great time... |

You're welcome. I'm happy to share. And it's good to know the Wheelie shirt went over well.
And I'll do my best to show the Misses how much I appreciate her. She's the best.

Yeah, wish I had let you know I'd be wearing the shirt so you could spot me, but I didn't finish it until late Friday night.
And I did have a great time. Glad you did too. I picked up a Masterpiece Megatron (finally!) for only $75, got my young nephew hooked on Transformers, and I managed to get some great autographs from Simon, Marcelo, and Chris Mowry. Very cool.
Speaking of the fellows from IDW, I just want to thank them all for being so hospitable. They were all great. I talked a good while with Chris and Denton. Marcelo was busy sketching away for other fans, so I didn't get to interact with him much. And I think Mr. Furman must have posed for a million and two photos with fans, so I tried not to bother him. Hopefully I didn't occupy too much of Denton's and Chris's time by hanging out as long as I did. If they didn't have to start getting ready for their panel, I probably would have REALLY overstayed my welcome. It was just too cool to "talk shop" with them in person. _________________ -OK to Print-

Thanks UC and Repugnus for all the cool pics and notes! Too bad you didn't get to film, UC. Your cinematic debut on the boards will have to wait!
Would soooo have loved to see some of my favorite comic book artists in person, especially since I want to ask Alex Milne how he manages to put so much detail into each of his drawings! I, too like detail in my drawings, but movie Starscream is a bitch (to draw)!
I should totally bring some Japanese exclusives to next year's Botcon to sell! _________________ loadagain.deviantart.com
Don'ts:
1) Using "to" when it should be "too"
2) Saying something "peaked" your curiosity, when in fact your curiosity was "piqued".
