I love how "spoilers" is tacked onto the end of a title that can't really be read as anything other than "Prime isn't leading the Autobots any more in the main book"...
Give Hot Rod a crack at it. But no Matrix / upgrade, initially. Keep the Autobots pushed for a bit before they muster forces, turn around and fight back.
Funnily enough I've advocated getting rid of Optimus and something like the above with Megatron for a while... if it actually happens it'll be very, very surreal. _________________

It's always good to see the major players shuffled off the board for a spell. I know the loss of Prime has been dealt with before in the Marvel UK stuff, hopefully in IDW it won't be as devastating as it was and based on how the war is waged I am hopeful of that.

lol!
Denyer, you're a master of (not so) understatement...
Hmm.. me guesses that Megatron will eventually go head to head with Galvatron.. and loose.
The Autobots, being leaderless and near powerless to prevent the devastation of Earth, are sidelined for the most part when those two go at eachother.
The pinched Autobots will get a temporary reprieve from that and Hot Rod will eventually become the top dog during Revelation or the end of Devastation.
Not before being beaten to near pulp and being rebuilt, I suppose.
*Hopes for a splendid redesign by EJ.*
In the meantime I expect some quables within the Autobot faction, with Prowl butting heads with Ironhide (and who not), eventually relinquishing command to a reluctant Magnus.. who will buy the farm before (Hot) Rodimus rises to the challenge... |

| A mod can delete this thread now. Geez Denyer couldn't pass up the chance at taking shot at me. This is exactly why I stay away from TF boards. Too many wiseguys. |

Just change the title into the less susceptible "Command issues" or something else. |

Why would we do that?
I'll edit the title though....

Well, let's see.
I think Hot Rod is the nominated sucessor. He's clearly leadership material but he doesn't want the job, that's all.
Prowl's too much of a prick.
The REAL question is who's going to lead the COMBINED Autobot army? With Prime down, I can't think of a reasonable number two to THAT position. _________________

Maximus? I dunno.
It does sudenly occur to me, however, that there IS nobody to pick up the pieces to lead the Autobots should Prime die.
Prowl's a local commander. Doesn't have the chops.
Magnus isn't leadership material. He's a loner.
Grimlock - we don't know enough about him in this continuity. But he's too much of a loose cannon I think.
Hot Rod - has potential, I think. But he's not there yet. _________________

| Prime's coming back, its too early for him to be done for good. Just a long stasis or something. But Hot Rod should take over and eventually he may become a Prime, however thats done. But with the discovery of Shocky and the Dynobots, the autobots just may follow prowl on there back foot, AND THEN GRIMLOCK ARRIVES and TAKES OVER. |

I voted for Prowl. I would actually like to see the "prick" get a chance to lead.
I eliminated Ultra Magnus cause he's some kinda of "enforcer".
Hot Rod and Grimlock have been done so I crossed them out for now, but I'm figuring Grimmy will take over as soon as possible. _________________ ALL MY POSTS ARE *OK TO PRINT*

I'm not gona vote for any of these.
I hope to see someone new take over the leadership of the autobots.
And his name is Impactor. Not really but that'd be fun.
I'm sure there is a chain of command in place for if Prime every went down.
On earth itself I'd assume Prowl would resume command as it was his to being with. _________________ [img]http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/8799/issuetwelvefinal.gif
