As comics? Rarely. I don't tend to discover titles until they're being collected as trades, by which point I'd rather pick things up in neat packages that are easy to shelve and don't carry ads. Although the last Marvel series I liked was Wisdom, and I'm not paying much attention to DC whilst they go through Infinite Cash-in Book MXVIII.
What happened with JSA after it wandered off to do a JLA crossover? It was a good point to start reading with a new volume, started with a nicely self-contained story arc, and it annoys me that interesting books get diverted...
Not as much as comics that can be reduced to one or two pages plus people posting commentary on them and lose pretty much nothing though. _________________

The only Marvel books I've bought in well over ten years was the Avengers/Transformers crossover. And that was only because there were Transformers in it.
Once in a blue moon, I'll pick up something Batman related, usually in the Animated style if anything. Sometimes I dabble in Wildstorm too.
Other than that, I only buy indy stuff from IDW, Gemstone and Digital Webbing on a regular basis. I've been getting into Josh Howard's work too. |

Well I've given up on (as in "right, eff the buggers") Marvel, because of "Spiderman: One More Day".
Namely what's going to happen to Peter's marriage.
We KNOW that Joe can't stand it.
Well it's been part of the freaking character for 20 odd years.
Get over it. _________________ Ohh 'Eck! |

Marvel
- Thor (JMS is doing a great job with these characters, abnd the artist is pretty darn good too!)
DC
-The Spirit (I'm really enjoying the art and storylines Cooke is doing, and look forward to seeing what the new creative team has in store for 14+)
And I pick up the occasional Walking Dead trade, but that is Image so... |

I've pretty much dropped all DC titles and will get the ones I know I want in trades. The main thrust of their universe is so unappealing right now.
Marvel aren't doing much better - however the best title they've done in ages was Annihilation Conquest: Starlord - such a cracking mini-series with Rocket Racoon and Groot amongst others. I wanted the main Conquest series to be good but already I fear it will be a bit pump, it seems no-one other than Jim Starlin can write Adam Warlock.

A great book. And Well worth a look to all you other folks out there.
Cornells Next Gig is Excalibur with a real English feel to it.
It should prove to be most fun.
Dcwise it tend to be Lobo that draws me. Pick up a lot of thier Vertigo stuff in Trade form. considering starting Constantain if I can find out which is the First book. _________________ [img]http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/8799/issuetwelvefinal.gif

Hellblazer's difficult to read in published order, due to the way the trades are collected... my advice'd be to start with something like Haunted, see if you like it, then go back and read the Delano and Ennis books in order.

I loved it as well.
I'd have loved it more if it ended with them rebuilding the world, and save the explosion for a later story (give the poor bugger SOME happiness). _________________ Ohh 'Eck! |

DC
Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps (the must-read books of the big 2 at the moment, IMO)
Booster Gold - entertaining for those who know their DC history
Vinyl Underground - Vertigo, adult non-superhero title, thrilling read
World Of Warcraft- only just begun, disposable reading
JLA- its above average, but slipping a little each month
Marvel
X-Titles- currently in a crossover, really good read
Fantastic Four- McDuffies run has been very good, and it'll be interesting to see what Millar and Hitch can do
Mighty Avengers- meh. _________________ Proud Member Of The 'Resurrect Bumper' Club.
