All right, lets make things fair then! Dan, if you're reading this, the next set of promo items should have EVERYONE in shorty shorts! The guys too! SHORTY SHORTS FOR ER'BODY!

I kid, I kid... (OR DO I?! Rolling Eyes)

But if I'm not mistaken, I took this as not a new series, but a continuation of the current series that is just being made to LOOK like a new series to coincide with the new team. It's just being played up as such, but on the whole it's going to be the same series.

Also, as soon as I saw the promo images, I knew immediately that Ron was responsible for the costumes, given that the shorty-shorts rolled right over from Ghostsmashers (who are still a bunch of chumps), not to mention that from what I know of Kylie, she would not be caught in anything to look sexy. She's too much of a tom-boy.

And my GOSH. I just got the colors back on my first two Real Ghostbusters pages.

I'm no Dan Schoening, I'm no Tristan Jones, but Luis' colors make me feel a lot more secure in following those gents into art land. (;

I saw Rookie in the previews and got hopeful, but alas! To no avail. Still, I'm just as happy to see Janine AND Kylie taking up the mantel as they should, especially with Kylie. The cartoon left her (and admittedly the other characters) kinda stale, character development wise, so I'm hoping this will give her a chance to shine.

Ron is a Ghostsmasher. Ghostsmashers are chumps. Therefore, Ron is a chump. Logic. Razz

Quick note - Diamond and Comixology's release date for #1 has been updated. It now will release next week on the 13th. Cool Guess they're shooting for mid-month releases this year.

Here's a preview courtesy of Spook Central.

Well, I'm stoked for this - interesting how in the given preview they're using borrowed uniforms - Janine's expertise on the packs is interesting though - did she get trained up at some point or has she just assimilated enough knowledge over the years to be considered a relative expert on the practical side of busting?

Seems like she's accumulated enough knowledge post-The Video Game in this IDW canon. She did go on an unofficial bust by herself in What in Samhain Just Happened?! and sort of had a grasp on using it (though getting denied a raise had some influence)...but the power of four also matters when it comes to a team of Ghostbusters.

How does a girl impress a guy with a big brain, I wonder? Wink

Loved the inclusion of the shoulder mounted pack, too. Good to see they're keeping up with close quarters busting protocol.

So it's Jack's fault. Ha!

Sounds like Janosz/Idulnas might have summoned those four entities to take away the Ghostbusters. But kind of surprised it took Kylie several months to I.D. them though...

We can only wish that you were writing the next movie Erik.

Oh Jack, the years have not been kind to you, have they? Still, the inner sleazeball core remains untouched. And a photo shoot? Still, love Kylie's forced grin, and the sight of Ron Alexander forced into a giant pig suit is...strange (Ron seems unusually happy about his public humiliation though - I'd imagine Janine to at least get a smirk out of his, ah, attire).

Also, the order of the Busters' abductions nicely dovetails into how this new team got set up, if the original core three are Janine, Kylie and Ortiz (does that make Ron their Winston?) - easy to imagine Ortiz turning up at the firehouse following Peter's last instructions and it all just flowing from there (welcome to the Ghostbusters, you'll never leave).

Very eager for this and hoping my local supplier will have the new issues in stock just a few days after the US release (come on Diamond).

Kylie's first attempts at using the Ecto-Mass-Spectrometer nearly got the firehouse's insurance cover revoked...

Man oh man, I forgot how much I loved this series! (January felt particularly long, didn't it?)

I'm pretty psyched about this arc, so far all the set up is pretty clever. And it's good to see the guys, even if they're trapped in limbo. My biggest laugh was Egon smackin Peter after the "peoplebusters" thing haha.

And speaking of that void... How nuts is Delgado? I stared at the background of that first limbo page for like 5 minutes before I continued reading.

Can't wait for March!
