So I was reading the 2012 Annual yesterday and was wondering if the Savate's are a multinational gang. Obviously they're mostly French, but a lot of their high ranking members had surnames ranging from Italian to Irish, as well as others. Was Eastman just naming them as homages to other comic creators and kinda disregarding the French thing?
Also, I remember way back when Chris Madden was originally going to be the artist for the Mikey issue but ended up not being able to do it. I've always liked his art, any chance of seeing him on Turtles any time soon? _________________ ------------------

Hi Nines,
I think they employ a bunch of underlings from all over, but the main guys are French. I don't remember if there was a real-world source for the names. The crooked police, Miller and Corbin, obviously, but I'm not sure about the Savate guys.
No plans for Chris Madden anytime soon. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

Max Frezzato used to work on Heavy Metal, and I figured Fershid Diaz was named after Fershid Bharucha, also a Heavy Metal artist. _________________ ------------------

Hi Bobby!
Just saw the Villain Micro press release. Awesome news! That is so cool that you got Dave Watcher on a TMNT book.
Only creator I see that I'm not familiar with is Ciaramella, what all has he done that you'd recommend checking out? _________________ ------------------

Yeah, Jason has done a few things for us, but my favorite is "The Cape" with Zach Howard. Definitely check it out. Great, twisted book. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

So this book is totally jinxed. First there was a delay at customs...
From Diamond:
"Unfortunately we've identified an error in Diamond's picking process for some 2/6 on sale product at the New Memphis warehouse. This issue caused multiple items not to be picked for customers, although they were billed on schedule.
A number of vendors were affected. Here are the affected codes specifically from IDW:
NOV120365 E TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES ONGOING #18
NOV120366 J TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES ONGOING #18 10 COPY INC"
Yay. This is one of two Diamond wherehouses, so my understanding is that half the country SHOULD be getting #18 on 2/6. The other half I'd say the week after? Knock on wood?
Both warehouses ship all over, so impossible for me to say who will get the book when.
Very frustrating! _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

Well, that blows. Thanks for the heads up though.
Are Foot Clan #3 and TMNT #19 still on track for the 13th and 20th, respectively? _________________ ------------------

Hope so. So no idea about international shipping, then? _________________ OK to print. Just don't say 'Turtle Power'! |

| International should be next week still (I think). Sounds like it was just the one warehouse where there was the error. A friend at Diamond UK said he saw the book come in this week so UK store should have the issue next week as scheduled. |

That doesn't look very good for my chances of getting the issue on time. |
I hear you on that one. _________________ The biggest disability in life is a bad attitude. |
