And he gets away with it because he's the freakin' pope.

Like children are sacred to every hetero family.

My bf's ex-boyfriend was suicidal mess. He was the seventh child in mormon family which was all about the quantity of children rather than the quality of the children's lives. I'm not surprised he was neglected, lonely and depressed. And his parents had no idea what went on in his life and that he was suffering.

In a way, he and his siblings were objects created by their parents only to prove the parents devotion to god.

I've baby-sat a lesbian couple's two children for years and they were the most functional, happy, together family I've ever seen. A few years ago, they were finally able to legally adopted each other's children (they each gave birth to one). I remember how happy they were that day. How can anyone want to deny homosexual couples that happiness?

I simply don't understand what mindset people have when they want to deny others of a happy life. It frustrates me and I can't even get into it now because I think I could rant a whole essay about how much it pisses me off.

Baffles the mind, doesn't it. I think it's all prejudice and preconceptions, because if you actually know homosexual couples and families, well - they're just... normal. Like everybody else.

I don't get why so much of the debate revolves around the question if homosexuality is a choice or genetical, natural or not - because how does that even matter? As long as two people engage in a loving, non-damaging, mutual consensual relationship, why should anyone care?

And don't even get me started on "children need a mother and father, it's biologically determined." No - children need loving parents, that's all. Or loving parent, as the case may be - how many children aren't raised by single parents, for whatever reason, and turn out fine?

In light of the issue 12 thread:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/03/shaquille-oneal-peeing-anti-gay-facebook-post-bathroom-etiquette_n_2402863.html

Poor Shaquille, the man can't share a funny pic with his fans without people jumping to conclusions.

It kind of cracks me up to see people go out of their way to interpret something as gay, insist that it's there, and then complain about it. Rolling Eyes

They already have names. They are a set of main characters from a very well-known Chinese epic called Journey to the West. Never heard of the Monkey King?
