Hey-gang. I know it has not been stated that arah was going to reach its climax at issue 200 but I am aware transformers regeneration one is scheduled to end at 100 and I wanted to ensure that Parry's adventures will continue for at least a good hundred more issues. Id love it if larry would write more issues in his run than Dave sin's did with cerebus. Other than transformers- I don't read as many comics as I used to and I would hats not to have arah to look forward to each month. Plus- things are just starting to happen. I love the status-quo changing as much as possible.
spoiler
Broca beach gone. Billy dead. I want/need more. Let's have more storylines like cobra island civil war- trucial abysmia massacare- new members- big reveals from the past like why firefly gave up the ninja thing- Springfield liberation- etc.
I love this book but feel it needs to stop treading water and move ahead that respects the past and correctly refers to it and builds on it.
And a real printed letter page would be great and very much appreciated. I recently purchased the amazing spiderman omnibus and it was great fun reading the letters of years gone by.
Well- thanks for listening and- again- please- if possible- continue past 200. It helps my obsessiveness. _________________ Thank-you IDW for supporting G.I. Joe: the revamp and ARAH. Here's to forty-nine years of adventure! |

There are comics that, I feel, are better written but hama's g I joe is the most entertaining. I hope Larry and idw continue the book for a long time. As I've stated before, I'm binding my arah and all crossovers. I can't wait to include idw's pick-up in this collection... Blue ninjas or not. I do still wish we'd see some of the original members. _________________ Thank-you IDW for supporting G.I. Joe: the revamp and ARAH. Here's to forty-nine years of adventure! |

I'm trying the grass roots approach. I'm posting on various sites that if they gave up on arah in the beginning- they should give it another try with 180. I get the feeling the story is going somewhere- we just need more sales! The blue ninja story-arc wasn't the best but it had it's good points as well. We need more publicity. Even-gasp- a big status-quo change. Something that would get cbr and wizard's attention. I'm not even above such cheap marketing as some major deaths. Beyond that-i'm not sure but I fear that arah might end at 200 since transformers: regeneration is stopping the same month as Joe's 200. This cast of characters deserve to stick around and their reviews have been positive. And the art is better than it's ever been. We need more issues like those that focused on sneak-peak. Obscure characters that grow on you quickly like Robert has done on transformers: mtmte. Sure- we have to keep snake-eyes and Scarlett around but that's something larry is great at. Scene changes every one-two pages that never bore. I remember issues twelve-nineteen even changed scenes in the space of one page. It was always exciting. So- maybe we can get a friend a subscription or tell your local comic store it needs shelf copies for new issues of arah. I don't know but idw needs to come up with an editor meeting that discusses what big event would bring the retired fans back. Thanks for the chance to ramble- it's hot outside so what else was I going to do? _________________ Thank-you IDW for supporting G.I. Joe: the revamp and ARAH. Uh, not sure where the idea that 200 would be the end of ARAH came from, but I'll just go ahead and paraphrase an answer I gave a while back:
There is absolutely NO plan to end RAH at issue #200. Far from it. Sales are going strong, Larry's rocking the scripts, and there's no sign of an end anytime soon. Ongoing means ongoing. Don't worry.
And, there you have it.

| Wonderful news Carlos, this book is by far my favorite every month, its great to be taken back to that time in life where every month as a kid I was excited to receive the newest issue of GI JOE. That feeling is definitely back. So thanks to IDW for putting this book out, coul not be happier! |

Carlos, great to hear from you - glad that the title is doing well!
And remember everybody, the best advertising a book can have is positive word of mouth, so if we want ARAH to keep going strong we should do our part and spread the news that King Larry has returned to his original epic.
Just a couple of months back I reconnected with a cousin who I hadn't seen in quite a while - we both collected Joe as kids - and he hadn't known about the reopening of ARAH. He borrowed my three trades collecting #155.5 - #170 and loved them, and he decided to start buying the trades, starting with volume 4. I had been hoping to get him started with buying the monthly issues, but he only collects comics in trades now. (Which seems to be the case with a lot of the old school Joe fans now-a-days)
Anyway, the more people we can bring on board to buy either the monthlies or the trades, the better, so let's all do our part! _________________ 30 Years of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero! 1982 - 2012 |

Carlos- thanks so much for stomping out my fears. I look very forward to each issue. Hama and gallant make a great team. And 182 sounds awesome. Thanks for continuing the classic version. It is appreciated. _________________ Thank-you IDW for supporting G.I. Joe: the revamp and ARAH. Here's to forty-nine years of adventure! |

I read this in another thread but I think a s.e. and Scarlett wedding would rock. Give the book that family feel- ya know? I remember loving arah 22 because of that feel. No real action or mission but an issue that portraid the joes as more than soldiers. Just my opinion. _________________ Thank-you IDW for supporting G.I. Joe: the revamp and ARAH. I can see a wedding coming at some point, maybe even before #200. But I suspect we'll be seeing Flint and Lady Jaye tie the know before Scarlett and SE. Just a feeling I get...
I agree a wedding between any of those two couples would be nice and long overdue in this comic. In real life, Jaye would have given Flint an ultimatum ages ago. |

As as ARAH sells and Hama wants to write it then keep it. If the book doesn't sell and/or Hama no longer wants to write it then it should be canceled. _________________

In light of there being yet another rumor of ARAH coming to an end, I just thought I'd quote this statement from Carlos from just 6 months ago. _________________ 30 Years of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero! 1982 - 2012 |

where are these "rumors" coming from. All seem to be from cashel, with no substantiation. _________________ September 17, 1984. MTME Part I. The world changed forever.

I'm not so sure about this. They are both career army, and even if they have been able to get away with a relationship of sorts, their team mates and superiors couldn't ignore it if they actually got married. One would have to leave the unit.
I think it much more likely they would just maintain the status quo until deciding to move on (meaning tying the knot and at least one leaving the unit to raise children, if they wanted that). _________________ Everything above is OK to print! |
