Hey Bobby, Happy New Year!
I had a question regarding #21. If Kevin Eastman is set to pencil it, does that mean it will be a self-contained issue, or will this be the first time IDW is splitting up artists on a multi-issue story arc?
Also, now that the Ultimate Collection cover pencils have been done for a while, is there a more precise ETA on it? _________________ "Baxter, you slime puppy!" |

Hi Matches,
Happy new year to you and everyone else!
Re: Ultimate Collection-- my understanding is all of the components are in, came in right before the holidays. Unfortunately the production guy who's going to work on it has been on vacation since then. He'll start work on it next week. Give that a week or two, and another week or two for approvals... hopefully it'll be in stores in March.
As for #21, that's a stand alone story, which will also act as a prelude to a seven-part (!!) mega arc that will follow. Can't really say anything else about it, but it will be big and awesome. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

Hi Bobby,
For the TPBs, will you be splitting up #21 and the seven-issue arc into volumes of four issues each? IDW did that with the Star Trek/Doctor Who crossover and there was no attempt to make a gap between issues #4 and #5; it was just splitting it in half.
I understand that four issues is the industry standard, but if you look at Marvel and Image, you'll see that they publish the TPBs around the comic book arcs. What TMNT have been doing so far has been shaping the floppies around four issues to give nice little arcs, which is fine until you're two years in and you want to start doing longer, epic(er?) stories. Then to split them in half may simply be going a bit too far to keep the industry standard which may have by now changed.
Hope I've made my point without stumbling across too many flaws which I'd have no idea about which would provide a completely valid explanation on your part! _________________ OK to print. Just don't say 'Turtle Power'! |

I'd love to see all 8 issues collected together. I know it will be a pricier book, but would a better choice for the longterm. _________________ http://www.crossovercomics.ca/author/louis/ - @thelouisguy

Hi Jamie, you make good, valid points. The story is actually organically set up to naturally break after issue 24, so we'll be keeping the four issue trade. That's just naturally how things are going with this, and our other story lines. IDW often does 5 or 6 issue trades. (see Locke & Key). _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

| A couple questions. Any particular reasons you gave the Purple Dragon members the names that you did, and any chance of the "Shredder Clones" appearing in your stories? |

You'd have to ask Tom about the Purple Dragon names, I don't know.
As for Shredder clones... you'll have to read and see! _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

| Oh thank goodness, I for one personally love consistency in books, so I'm glad to hear the arc is written to be split in two for the trades. |

Hey Bobby!
I just read the preview of Foot Clan #1 and gotta say I get more excited for it every day. If that is what I think it is on Tatsuo's lucky leg, and if this Iron Demon is who I think it is, I'm pretty pumped. I was just going over some back issues and it all jives with something Baxter said to Chet in issue #4.
Also, even though I whine about the pacing of this series from time to time, I just want you guys to know that I love speculating on all these long running mysteries. That's probably my favorite thing about this book, goes great with all the interesting characterizations, sweet art and callbacks to previous Turtle lore _________________ ------------------
