What do you think happens to Snake-eyes?

How long do you think he will be absence?

Under what circumstances do you think he'll return?

SUPER ROGUE as he chases down or is running from Storm Shadow...

Until sales start dropping! Laughing Probably a year, though, in all seriousness...

Saving Scarlet from something terrible...

He dies, and as he dies, he finally speaks, shouting, "My crotch! Dear God, Scarlett, you shot me in the crotch!"

It took IDW six months to bring Optimus Prime back after writing him out of the Transformers books. I'm thinking... two for Snake Eyes.

He shows up to rescue the other Joes in the pages of Special Missions... dressed as a cowboy!

I agree, Chuck Dixon will kill him to spite people as he leaves the main book, because he seems that petty.

He will be resurrected in 6 months because that's how far ahead they are in story production. So as soon as he dies, and fan outrage spreads they will write him back in. IMO.

This is from a USA Today article about Dixon's Special Missions book:

Quote:
One character who is staying off the table is Snake Eyes, the silent ninja warrior who's been an iconic part of the Joe roster since Hama began his original run in 1982.

In fact, there's a Snake Eyes moratorium in not only Special Missions but also Van Lente's G.I. Joe series and Mike Costa's G.I. Joe: Cobra Files, launching in April.

"The thing with Snake Eyes and with ninjas overall is less is more," Dixon explains. "It's always cool to have Snake Eyes out of the picture for a while, and then his return is always huge and dramatic. And not in a contrived way.

Thanks, Machete Phil, for finding the article.

Close, but not quite. After his transitioning, he'll show up dressed as how he really feels...

Ever since the "Death of Superman" crap, the killing off of a character just to get press and then bring them back is just stupid.

Do you think there is anyone out there that might actually believe he won't be back in a few... ugghh, lame...

Snake-Eyes needs a long vacation. After that, he can come back and be the badass mystery man again.

snake eyes is the most well known Joe. Ask someone who knows nothing of GI Joe and they will know who snake eyes is.

I liked it in the early days of DW when Snake-Eyes was "good" but not not unstoppable, there was that time he had trouble with a Viper etc.

That was after the viper tried to blow him up with a missle, so he wasn't 100% there.

Mamu, you make a good point but I'd still consider Snake Eyes not that popular.

Really? Maybe only among Joe fans who know better, but the vast majority of people Identify Snake Eyes with Joe. Did you read the article the top 50 joes of all time? SE was #1. Not because all of the voters put him at #1 but because he was in the their top 5-10 on all lists. I hate to say it but Snake Eyes is the most popular Joe. Many call him the Wolverine/Batman of the GI Joe universe. I'd always put him in my top 10. There is no Joe that has more figures or merchandise than Snake Eyes ... That also proves the point IMO
