Hi guys,
A bit of bad news. Due to the strike at the LA-Long Beach Port last week, Godzilla #8 is going to be late. It was due next week, but now due to the strike, and Diamond not shipping during Christmas week, the book is now due in stores on 1/2/13.

| Bobby, is this your way of announcing a new nemesis for Godzilla? Because he's already shown up in HCW so you should probably announce one we haven't seen before. Besides Godzilla vs "The Delay" doesn't make for good reading... |

I didn't say the strike had anything to do with HCW#4.
HCW#4, like Godzilla #8, will be out in early January.

Hi Bobby,
IDW has been at the forefront of digital releases in the comics industry. Is there any chance that IDW's digital initiatives will be used in the future to help get comics out 'virtually', despite what is happening 'actually'?
I suspect that the Powers That Be may not be ready to pre-empt the physical release of Godzilla #8 with the digital release, but boy howdy it would be a great way to "work around" the strike.
It would make sure that the fans still have access to the comic on the projected release date, and probably encourage a few of us to try out digital comics for the first time.
Probably won't happen this time around, but maybe for the next time?

Hi Batagor,
I don't see that happening anytime soon at IDW, I think it would cause a great deal of upset feelings with comic book retailers, who are our main "customer." The current set-up is the best compromise we could find for all sides.
