I could have sworn I had some gallery here in some far flung distant corner of the past. Show's how much I know. That's fine. I always like to start off kinda fresh. Smile

Anyway, I don't draw Transformers as much as I used to, so don't really expect this to be updated as much as I should like, but I'll post up some of my favorites and stuff.

Hoist Spotlight

I did this for the contest that got Casey Coller into IDW. This was for the first round, which I won in my group if I remember right. I don't remember if it's the top rated piece of art or the top 2. My second piece sucked. I don't have it, I didn't like it, I don't want to remember it, lol.

This was pretty fun. I was hoping for another one, but it never happened.

Shockwave Plight

Drew this back in 07. I had intended to have it be like he was falling out of a building or a ship or just something up really high. Well, that didn't seem to read well, but I'm happy with it in my own way. I think I based this off of the Dreamwave Shockwave design. I kind of like the simplicity in that it doesn't rely on gears stuff to show how things move, limbs are just moving about.

Then the other part of me is annoyed by that because the limbs look like they're floating xD

This was colored by John-Paul Bove. It's amazing to see how much he's improved since this piece!

Transformers AU:: Commander Soundwave

I drew this thinking to myself "What if Soundwave were the leader of the Decepticons." This is something I've never seen done to my expectations. (Which is likely because I'm a Soundwave fan.) I imagined being particularly scary and highly manipulative. The idea was basically like Shockwave, only without Shockwave's nack for popping out and going full battle mode. I was going to do a set of mosaics based on this that I never got around to finishing.

The colors here were by Joana Lafuente! Looking at it now I'm kind of embarrassed. Her colors look way better than my artwork XD

Transformers Animated:: Autobots and Decepticons

These two were really fun to do. Admittedly, I REALLY hated the TFA designs early on, but the show won me over in the end. Still, preferring a more "G1" look, I decided to do a conversion. Overall I was happy with them at the time. Right now I kinda want to do a new piece with ALL the Decepitcons in it. I was working on one but I wasn't happy with it.

Mainly I guess I wanna do a new one to capture TFA Megatron's personality better. In this Megatron looks like, well, Generic Megatron. That one evil drill sergeant that you see in all those movies. I would like to capture TFA Megatron's charismatic charm.

Optimus Prime

I'm sure some of you may have noticed by now, The pictures I've colored have generally been a rip-off of Josh Burcham's style, or rather an attempted rip-off, lol.

Let's Shake it up a Little

This was a commission I did for somebody. I was asked to do this because of my previous two animated pieces in this thread. I was really happy with how this turned out. And yes, Crazy Blitzy is my favorite.

Ironhide

Amazingly, I don't have much to say on this other than "I spent way more time on this than I should have liked."

Well That's Just Prime

This one has a bit of a story. I went to Canada to see my girlfriend (now fiance), and we went to TFCon in Mississauga while I was there. I got to meet Alex Milne, Simon Furman, Dan Khanna, and Garry Chalk. I had drawn this picture of Optimus Primal that I got signed by Garry. I also got one heck of a brutal critique from Alex. So when I got back to my girl's place, I redrew it taking in the advice I got from Alex and Dan, and this was the result. Kinda sucks that I couldn't get Garry to sign this one for me instead.

Optimal Optimus

I penciled this for Slagacon and Jake did the inks on it. It was originally meant to be a poster for people to get signed by Garry Chalk. Now, you see, I displayed a bit of displeasedness over the prototype for my last picture getting signed by Garry instead of the last one, so I got him to sign this for me. Rather, Jake did. Lol. So that's pretty darned awesome. I was really excited about this. It's always awesome to collaborate with Jake on something. He's such an amazing inker!

Okay, that's all I have for now. I don't know when I'll be able to get back to this thread in terms of posting art, cause I'm generally pretty busy. I hope you enjoy it. Smile

Sorry for double posting. Anyway, I wanted to show this. Just finished it.

Operation Soundwave :: Generation One :: Toy

Around four years ago, I decided I wanted to draw every Soundwave I could. Now, I honestly didn't get very far. I drew 3 and quit. I hated what I was drawing and couldn't stand it anymore. I've decided to revisit the idea and restart the series from the very beginning. This is based on the G1 toy.

Mind you, I wasn't sticking to the proportions. This will be true for all of them. I will tweak to my liking, but overall the design will be based heavily on the source, and I'll be keeping it consistent. Feels kinda redundant that I'm going to be drawing the Action Master and cartoon versions, but it'll be fun.

Let's revive a dead thread, shall we?

Trying to work on a portfolio. I hate the first panel, so I'm probably going to redo it before mailing it off. I feel seriously rusty. :/

Wonderful stuff!

If you're looking for work you can add to your portfolio, I know TF- Lost Seasons has a story they're looking for Artists for at the moment: TransWarp: Ravage.

And I'm also looking for Artists for Issue #2 of my Csirac story... Wink

I Like to Collect Model Spacecraft.

This is the sketch I made when designing him. He's a scooter.

I drew this for reasons. First time trying out one of the MTMTE designs. I know it's static. Still fun to do, though.

Really liking the MTMTE characters, excellent work. I especially like the old style colours you've gone for.

Look forward to seeing more!
