Just on the back of that?

Yes.

Whirl is FULLY in his element here, lol

You can see it, rallying the troops., kicking down the door into the back section(!) and his declaration of killing for the greater good... Dear lord, it's wonderful stuff, even looking to use Rewind as his very own personal camcorder?

Is that a teeny tiny nod to Kingoji's awesome auto assembly story where Brainstorm tried that trick~?

Can someone point me in the direction of the person on these boards who drew that little strip where Whirl is using Rung's eyebrows?

Because that has earned them a BIG, JUICY HUG from the Hookster.

And i've got nothing else to do right now, soooooooo....

Wow... that sentiment is equal parts affectionate and threatening.

Let me reiterate what I said way back when we saw the preview for issue #2: Josh Burcham is frigging amazing on this series.

The first preview we saw on FMH didn't have the credits page and I didn't pay attention to the cover because we'd already seen it, so I had no clue Cahill was working on this issue, and I didn't until I saw someone comment on it.

The colors hold the look of the series together incredibly well.

It's nice to see the 'bots spoling for a fight. I can't really think of many occasions when they've been shown like that, rather than the Weary Defenders Forced To Fight that they usually are.

WE KILL CONS! WE KILL CONS! WE KILL CONS!

Shades of what now

I'd commented on how well Cahill had tied his style to fit Milne, but you're quite right, Josh is the unsung hero of tying the book together

Whether it's Nick, Alex or Brendan, there's something undeniably awesome about how cohesive this first year has been compared to the Ongoing, and Josh needs some big props for his part in this!

Getting back to the topic of deaths in MTMTE, I dont really have an issue with it. Im already preparing myself for Magnus' death in a few issues time. Not to mention Drifts and others. It would be boring if just generics bought it. It adds to the tension because you realise no one is safe. No matter who gets a hammering one of us will have had the toy Im sure at one time or another.

We all assumed Rung died after issue # 6. He hadnt but of course James couldnt say anything. He survived. Likewise Red although with Red I wasnt totally sure he had or if it was even him and not a FCS that Red somehow built.

There were over 200 bots on board the Lost Light when it took off. I said it before the series started that I predict only a handful of bots will remain at the end. I still stand by that which means some characters we have grown attached to biting the dust, we have to be prepared for that.

It wont be easy but it makes for compelling reading.
