I'd assume because most Slash Fics either are at the start, or they quickly devolve into pornographic musings. And given this is the Transformers Fanwork section, and Robots Do Not Work That Way...well.

Just a idea I have, after reading TF ongoing 8, when Spike kills with low-tech a transformer.
What about a mosaic with a Predator on the hunt for a decepticon, and kills him? That would be great!!!
Predator vs Transformers mosaic. I like it already.

Oh, bro, you do not even KNOW. There are many ways that they work. ESSAYS have been written (not by me) about robots and the various ways that they can Get It On (I can think of five off the top of my head.)
Another possible answer is that robots having, um, sex lives imposes binary gender onto, uh, robots that though we often use the male pronoun to describe, are...kind of genderless.

Okay, newbie here (got directed here by BadFlip after he was a champ and gave me some pointers), and I have an important Q:
Does this forum allow crossovers? Because I'm working on two (both of which are truly left-field) right now.
