That Chuckles collection does look sexy, it's a must have for me.

That said, IDW really does price their books too high, when comparing it to similarly sized hardcover omnibuses from other companies. Luckily Amazon has those discounts.

But hell yeah, that saga is an instant classic.

I love having it all in one book and in hard cover, but I dislike that there is no new material... Not even an introduction or anything. Seriously this book put G.I. Joe back in the game IMO. This should be the future of Joe. and nothing form Costa or IDW... nothing... disappointing... One of the really cool things about the Classic HC's that have come out it the additional material...

Look at Marvel's new pricing structure vs their new quality of collections. The recent CAPTAIN AMERICA and WINTER SOLDIER collections are thinner than an IDW Annual, but are still priced at $17 and $16, respectively. DC overprices any collection featuring characters that only die hards want to collect. The exact same collection featuring Batman or Green Lantern that runs for, say, $19.99, will be $24.99 for Catwoman or LEGION. I find IDW's pricing to be pretty much on par with the industry standard set by the "Big Two." Dynamite Entertainment, however...

Since I was buying the issues, I never purchased the COBRA collections at any point. This was perfect for me, as it collects all of Chuckles' story (and the ancillary specials dealing with the twins and Erika) and that's what I would read "in one piece" as it were. But I totally get the disappointment in not having anything new in the collection. And IDW continues with the "quadrant" representation of the series' covers. For the price of the hardcover, I think they could have sprung for full page covers in the back of the book. Minor annoyance vs the ability to take this off the shelf and read it in a sitting or two.

This looks to be a great collection. Appears from the name and size that it will contain:

It would be nice if someone from IDW would state explicitly what issues will be contained in the Cobra hard cover.

They have.
Cobra 1-4
Cobra II 1-4
Cobra special 1
Cobra 9-13
Cobra vol 2 #12

Cobra special 2.
Cobra 10-13 (not 9).

Did it also include the Chuckles story from GI Joe #0? Just to confirm Cobra Vol. 3 #12 is in there, right? Were all the covers for all the issues included? Thanks in advance. This information will help me to decide to buy the HC or not.

It is all the issues I listed with the corrections orcal made and yes the 1/3 cobra story from issue 0 is there. The covers are listed too, but they are 1/4 sized so they could fit mutpile on each page.

Forgot to post here. I got mine a week or so ago. IT IS AWESOME!!
I had held off reading these, so getting to read them in order, as one big story, was amazing. It includes the GI JOE #0 story, as someone asked, and also the wrap up issue from Cobra volume 2 about Chuckles' letter to Hawk.

Highly recommended. The book is excellent, great binding, nice cover, the only thing I was slightly miffed about is that it's a tiny bit shorter on the shelf than the GI JOE Classic HC #1 I already have. Why would they be different size? You'd think they'd be the exact same height, but whatever. It's not smaller by much, still oversized.

Agree this is really great. Even though I have the singles and trade paperbacks this is totally worth having. Collect's the whole chuckle story and doesn't include The extraneous stuff about the coil story.

In terms of the size it's actually exactly the same size as the Transformers IDW collection. I think the G.I. Joe complete collection is actually a little bit taller. don't know why that is
