Bought it, read it, enjoyed it.
Loved it for what it was: a bit of a romp. Quite funny, actually, and I liked Pax's characterisation as a bit jokey, a bit of a badass. Prime is usually so stoic, it was nice to see him behave a bit more, well, like Rodimus or something.
There's definitely something going on here, too, nods to some greater arc concerning the Metrotitans. Interesting. |

Didn't fix anything. Gave us an origin story of sorts to Rack n Ruin and Bludgeon.
I expected a larger tie in to Spotlight Blurr. Seems like there should be a part two that does tie in to Spotlight Blurr and that this was part one. Does anyone know if these new Spotlights tell a connecting story or if they are standalone like previous ones usually were?
And we should all wear face-plates from now on. They serve a purpose. _________________ Okay to print. |

The SLS by the look of them kinda fill in some backstory. This one and SL TC do while the Megatron one will delve into events set during the old Ongoing. _________________

If you get the one I want by chance, I'll throw a b*tch fit of biblical proportions.
I did however find a online comic shop that sells that cover, but I'm gonna have to wait until after Christmas before I can buy it *cryforever*
Bludgeon's in the story? Awwwwww, I wanna see Bludgeon too! _________________

Good story, but the art did very little for me and I was disappointed that it did nothing to fix the problem of Spotlight Blurr, as well as perplexed by the presence of Alpha Trion with regard to the constant irritation that is the time scale of the war. If he's on speaking terms with bots who are still alive and active today, and he was on speaking terms with Metroplex, who was around in ancient times that nobody else can remember anymore, how has all knowledge of that time been lost? Makes no gorram sense. _________________

Its fluff, but amusing fluff. I liked it.
I expect a tie-in to Spotlight Thundercracker next month.
Maybe via Alpha Trion. |

This was a nice little done-in-one, which is probably what a Spotlight should be. Some more nice world-building by Roberts. I don't know if Nightbeat was all that necessary to the story, but as always, it's nice to see him.
I don't know how consistent Alpha Trion being a public figure is with his previous portrayal in the Ironhide mini is, but I'm sure there's plenty of ways around that.
Nice to have an "origin" of sorts for Rack'n'Ruin too. _________________ Everything is okay to print.

Insofar as Orion Pax's body? Yeah it did.
He swapped bodies and said he planned on returning to his original eventually. What more do you want? _________________ Everything is okay to print.

it did and didn't. He was still in that body in SL Blurr.. when it was supposedly more or less a one shot for the mission. I could be a bit off bc i'm not sure whether this is before or after SL Blurr. I know it was after Shadowplay and after Chaos Theory but before Autocracy. He's in this new body for Blurr, but back in the old one by Autocracy. It's a little weird honestly. The Bludgeon thing, he felt like a throw in.. Nightbeat was cool to see. Good action.. time line is mind bottling _________________ My opinions are just that.
