Godzilla Ongoing Volume 1 is scheduled for release this week on the 14th.

So you "trade-people" can go on and pick this up Wednesday!

Oh, nice! Thanks for posting the news, Mr. X! This completely slipped my mind Surprised

I'll look for it at my local comic shop this week! Oh FYI, Amazon has it for 40% off right now, only $10.79 (instead of 17.99).

is that the first 4 issues?.. i know i'm beating a dead horse here, but issue 4 was my least favorite, i hope it doesn't turn people off from continuing the series.

Yeah, I believe that it collects the first four issues. Gane does a pretty fierce Anguirus, though!

Speaking of Simon Gane...

yeh, but that beautiful Zornow Anguirus on the cover steals all the thunder

Its funny, with both Gane and Santos every drawing i have seen from them i have LOVED when it was inked, but once the color gets added in, it seems to bump it down a notch or two... but right now that SG is tops!

Kingdom of Monsters? What's that?

Seriously though, I'm so glad IDW has learned from their mistakes unlike soo many other comic book companies.

Can't wait to read the second half!

That's a good looking Space-G. I mean, I saw it and I was just like "Hmm!". Laughing

Eggleton's a living God, let me tell ya...

Feb 2013 solicits are in, and thank God, the HCW #5 is there. Though it has no cover art yet.

Quote:
Godzilla #10

(W) Duane Swierczynski (A) Simon Gane (CA) Bob Eggleton
Earth is ravaged by the Space Monsters! With Earth's kaiju trapped on Monster Island, the planet is seemingly doomed. Until Boxer decides to undo all of his hard work and stage the biggest prison break of all time!

Quote:
Half Century War #5
(W/A/CA) James Stokoe
Ota Murakami has fought Godzilla for fifty years. The decades have been hard on Ota, and he is seemingly no closer to his goal. Now, in the frozen wastes of Antarctica, the end of the world beckons. Ota and Ken gear up for a deadly final battle, and only one beast will be left standing at its end! This is the book you'll be talking about for years! Don't miss it!

Holy crap, both sound incredible... Feburary's gonna be a big month!

Edited with a much larger pic.

Ugh, it feels like forever since we've had a new comic.

This ought to quench your thirst:

Quote:
It's the day Boxer has been waiting for... the opportunity to avenge his daughter in a showdown with Godzilla. At the exact worst moment though, the government and their secret weapon step in to take matters into their own hands. You know what they say about "best laid plans..."

Wonder what that secret weapon is. Wouldn't it be so cool if it was Mecha-King Ghidorah? I doubt it's a mech though...

Could be King Ghidorah, LOL! I kid, though. But when does this issue come out?

I figured a "Simon Gane draws Godzilla!" thread would be a little redundant ...

According to his twitter feed, this is just a sketch. Nothing directly related to the comic series.

Coming out on the 26th, I think. Either that or the 19th. It's definitley coming out this month, though.
