I don't believe I did say that Color Classics is going beyond #11. There's certainly a chance we will if they continue to be profitable, but as of right now there's no plan to go beyond that. |
My bad. Part of me is kind of hoping that they finish with #11. Not because they're bad, it's just that I have such OCD about getting every IDW TMNT comic! I'm going so far as to getting Previews #286 for 20 quid off eBay! You guys are getting expensive but I crave IDW Turtles. I CRAVE IT!!!
I worry about myself sometimes. _________________ OK to print. Just don't say 'Turtle Power'! |

Or is there time before May to change it and slip in the Fugitoid micro? | This is just my opinion but I think the Spinal Tapped story from the Tales of TMNT Original Vol. 1 Series Treasury Edition might make more sense to be included.

There's quite a few things IDW could use to fill the gap in Tales Vol. 2;
Nobody (10 page short fom the original Mirage collection)
Spinal Tapped (27 page story fom the Treasury Edition)
New Frontispieces and Epilogue (from the Treasury Edition)
And it would also be a nice place to include the never released replacement Vol. 1 #8 that was done before Peter Laird reached a reprint agreement with Dave Sim. |

I think those are definitely more reasonable as fillers Chris. As far as vol. 1 number 8, you're referring to the color classic reprint not being released or is there some super secret "lost issue" that I never heard of from the Tales vol. 1? _________________ Fan since 1987! |

He's talking about The Paradox of Chudnovsky.
Short story is that there was a time when Laird didn't think Sim would give them reprint rights for TMNT #8 in time for their trade paperback collection. So Laird commissioned a replacement from Steve Murphy and Jim Lawson that would retell the Turtles' first meeting with Renet and Savanti, sans Cerebus.
They finished the story and published it in a Spanish language trade paperback. However, by the time they got around to releasing their trade collection in the US, Laird and Sim had worked out reprint rights so The Paradox of Chudnovsky was shelved.
To date it has never been released in its original English language format (though a fan translation of the Spanish version along with a limited printing was completed earlier this year). _________________ TMNT Entity: The place for Ninja Turtle comic reviews and research articles! |

Hi guys,
A bit of bad news. Due to the strike at the LA-Long Beach Port last week, Secret History of the Foot Clan is going to be late. It was due on 12/26, but now due to the strike the book is now due in stores on 1/9.
Very frustrating, but completely out of our hands. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

Bobby! Literally just finished #17! It was an awesome read, good job all around, but of course I've come to bug you with continuity questions.
Karai says something to the effect of: "the last few times we've battled the rat in his turtles", suggesting that that they've had more than one fight with the gang... so have the events of Secret History taken place already or will that go down (chronologically speaking) once the boys get back from Dimension X? _________________ ------------------

Honestly, I don't know the answer to that question yet. We'll see how things "settle in"
It's tricky, because Foot Clan has been in the works sorta since TMNT#5, so the main story it's about was designed to be told in a pretty general timeframe of the ongoing... we had no idea how things would line up exactly, back in the past (trippy).
Based on that line in #17, it would indicate that Krang War takes place after the events of Foot Clan. But you could very well find something that contradicts that over the next few issues. Like for instance, I just thought of:
If Foot Clan comes before Krang War then does that mean it came out after #16? Because the TMNT in Foot Clan are not bummed about Slash or Woody. It certainly doesn't come out BEFORE THAT, as that would be close to issue #12 events, and too much time has passed since the Foot & Turtles first met.
Perhaps the Karai scene in #17 is taking place at a later date... hmm, that'd be some advanced storytelling...
Yeah, that's it. We've got it all figured out.
...
Glad you liked the issue! _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

| So, if the first issue of "Secret History of the Foot Clan" is coming out in January now, does that mean we'll have the first TWO issues coming out that month? Or does it mean the whole mini-series is bumped back? |

I think I found the fix: The Annual. There was a brief fight involving The Foot and the TMNT. Wasn't much, but there could have been more "off screen" stuff with them that wouldn't have served the narrative of the annual.
Regardless, I think that makes sense of Karai's "last few battles". For now, at least haha. _________________ ------------------

Hi Preston,
Approving Foot #2 today, for a 1/23 ship date... 1/30 at the latest, so the series will maintain it's original schedule.
Good detective work, Nines! _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

I love this. The community scraping together every little bit of info they can to make the story work. That is what we do.
LOL @ Bobby's piecing together. I feel like he may have *secretly* told us something in little explanation. I'm on to you Bobby. #ImWatchingYou _________________ The biggest disability in life is a bad attitude. |
