Slick stuff, thanks for sharing.
I just saw that TMNT: New Animated Adventures is launching on free comic book day. Awesome news. Anything else you can tell us about that? Is Ciro involved? _________________ ------------------

Bobby, thanks so much for posting the cover! I think that one may very well be my favorite one so far. Woot! |

Hi Nines,
Thanks.
Not too much to report yet on New Animated Adventures, still in development. No one from the show is directly involved at this stage, but I don't know if the approval process will be different, or will go by anyone like Ciro.
I saw over at the Drome some questions about if it will be in continuity. I think we'll try and approach it like it COULD be in continuity, but given that the comics and the show work on completely different time tables, I imagine there will be an extremely high percentage chance of things clashing with official continuity (It's hard enough in our normal ongoing!). So I think the best we can do is try and capture the spirit of the show, and incorporate new elements as they develop. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

I'll be editor, like on the IDW continuity. Same deal: help develop stories, pick artists, maintain schedule, grunt work, etc.
Tom won't be involved in the foreseeable future. Tom's got enough on his plate between the ongoing, his other comics, his video game work, etc. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

| Ok here's a question. I just picked up the Tales TPB Vol. 1 and I noticed that it has 4 issues in it. That only leaves 3 issues for Vol. 2. You've said in the past that the market for a reprint of the original Fugitoid book would be weird if not non-existent. As the fan's conduit to the color reprint team at IDW, would it be weird for you to ask if they could color and include the Fugitoid micro as a bonus tale in the Vol. 2 of Tales? I don't know who the rights belong to, so that could obviously be a hurdle, but I think it would be a great way to round out another 4 issue trade. |

Agreed. I've just seen Jim Lawson's new cover on Amazon; epic as usual. So, what is the planned fourth? Short stories? Or is there time before May to change it and slip in the Fugitoid micro?
Also, a while back you said that the Colour Classics were going beyond #11. What's the new minimum, then? (not sure it's the right word to use, but the new issue you plan to at least get to within the series) _________________ OK to print. Just don't say 'Turtle Power'! |

WOW!...I am really tired from a long work week but just HAD to log in to write you how OUTSTANDING kevins cover for the ultimate collection vol 4 is!!!you can really tell in his lay outs and the homogenity and richness of his backgrounds that kevin is now fully in the comics medium once again...the man is finally there where he-oblivious to himself maybe-wanted to be in these past what 10 to 15 years...he is BACK DOING COMICS!!!!
a hell of a salute to my man kevin eastman!!!banzaaaaiii!

We don't have the digital files for Fugitoid, and it is out of my area. If you'd like to recommend it, i'd recommend writing "letters@idwpublishing.com"
I don't believe I did say that Color Classics is going beyond #11. There's certainly a chance we will if they continue to be profitable, but as of right now there's no plan to go beyond that. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |
