| I think working on comics in general is something you would really only want to go into if you really really really love reading comics, making comics, and living comics. It's tough work and we don't get to live in mansions and roll around in money, but for me it's always been worth it because it's what I really want to do. |

RockerBrony, if you wanna look at a way to get experience writing scripts and getting critiques in a wonderful online community I really recommend Andy Schmidt's Comics Experience - there are course and the creative workshop. I've done the writing course and I'm planning on doing the production and lettering one, as writing/working in comics is a long term dream. I know that Bobby also has been a part of the community there too.

Indeed, Andy's classes are good places to learn.

| I was wondering, due to the whole official error thread being posted to point out mistakes, is there a possibility for fixing them (at least major ones like the AJ RD color switches which could confuse readers)in the paperbacks? |

You mean for the trade? Some color things, maybe. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

What about for the digital releases? Those can be updated easily, right? _________________

| I would be fine with fixing coloring errors as long as it's not a huge and time consuming one. Most errors would be easy to fix since I keep my shading and flats layers separate. |

Digital releases go out the same time as print, and once it's delivered it's out of our hands.
There's going to be a certain degree of mistakes. We'll endeavor to do our very best to prevent them, but once they're there, they'll most likely be there to stay. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

Man the error thing is weird,
I wander how often people point them out in Marvel and DC.
(cartoons though had many more, and it became a game to find them in Spider-man and X-men during the 90's) weird thought that someone could give NIghtcrawler five fingers when its easier to draw three.) |

Hey Bobby, a thought just came into my head.
Is the main comic series (and the upcoming mini-series) considered canon with regards to the show's continuity?
I'm curious because the show probably comes first in terms of continuity which makes sense as the show is the source material for the comic. However, where does that leave the comic?
I'm wondering if events from the comic (like this first four issue arc with the Changelings) ever be referenced (even subtly) in the show?
Additionally (and I apologize for always asking this) is it possible to get the list of up coming variants for Issue 3? The collector/completionist in me is getting antsy thinking about the upcoming variants for Issue 3.
Also, is it possible for me to find this info regarding variant covers elsewhere? I always feel bad for asking you on a monthly basis for the list of variants instead of asking a real questions (or hiding it along side real question). _________________

Hi Drewly,
No worry on the questions, thanks for being interested.
1) We try and act like we're in continuity, in terms of plot and characterization, but whether we actually are... not really, I'd say. The show is its own world and it should pay attention to itself, not worry about what we're doing. We'll just try not to do the same stories.
2)I'll try and remember to get you a list... yeah, there's no way to really know other than IDW telling you where to get these retail exclusive covers. I need to set up a regular system. Christmas chore #476! _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

Speaking of continuity,
are there any notes on the landscape of the town and Equastria with sorrounding areas you have?
given the whole traveling beyond the Everfree forest going on in the story. |

Hi Rhuen,
I'm not sure I follow the question, but no... no notes. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

Hi guys,
A bit of bad news. Due to the strike at the LA-Long Beach Port last week, My Little Pony #2 is going to be late. It was due next week, but because of the strike, and Diamond not shipping during Christmas week, the book is now due in stores on 1/2/13.
Very frustrating because some serious overtime was put in by myself and the creative team to get this book out on time. Completely out of our hands, I'm afraid. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |
