Have not posted on this forum for a very long while, but wanted to say how sorry I am to hear that Franco Urru passed away. I loved his work on Angel After the Fall and all the Spike series. His work was beautiful and fluid to look at and full of wonderful little details.
A great, great loss. _________________ Aargh! 'Shippers! There goes the neighbourhood. |

Yes,I just saw the news on Brian Lynch's twitter.
Condolences to his family and friends.
ETA
I believe this is Franco's last verse piece of art from NYCC last month.

| This is such heart breaking news. He was such a talented artist and without him, the Angel comics would not have been the same. Rest in peace Urru, thank you for sharing you gift with us. |

Such awful news. I always loved his style and I always liked his version of Spike. I thought he got JM's body type spot on.
He will be sorely missed. _________________

I was so so sad to hear this. I had no idea that he was ill. Condolences to all his friends and family and all that IDW. He was an important part of Angel comic history and he will be missed. _________________

Oh no, what horrible news. Franco Urru was my favourite Buffyverse/Angelverse artist.
FRANCO, THANK YOU FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL ART YOU CREATED FOR US TO ENJOY. |

| I've been thinking alot about the sad loss of Franco today and his wonderful artwork. My favourites include the 'Mars Attacks' picture, his priceless reaction to Twilightgate, the Spike/Illyria cover from Spike:After the Fall, Cordy the Dragon flying with Angel over the skyscape of LA and Spike contemplating Cordy the Dragon's weak spots, also the broken fragments picture from which my avie is taken. Such great art.... |

| To everyone here who works at IDW, is it possible for the company to release a tribute book for Urru that would contain a story of how he got into this business, thoughts from his family and friends, and a collection of his greatest works? Something similar to the final pages of the Lorne one-shot would be fantastic. |
