And of course my LCS's shipment of comics WOULD be delayed again this week, aaaargh!
I can't even get them digitally at Comixology because of the region restri... wait, they're BACK?
...I love you, IDW!
...wait, what do you mean RID#11 is there but not MTMTE#11?
The world is conspiring against me. Boo. _________________

See what Nook said in the other thread. They'll both be there, but for some reason RiD is up for pre-order when MTMtE is not. _________________

I've read it >_>
And, bygod that was three episodes of payoff all at once, the heist, the revel, the revisits...
I am lacking in post time, and I don't want to be the first to spoiler anything, but...

Welcome back Rung... |
Edit:
And on the subject of Red Alert?
Roberts, you damn near made me cry with that conversation >_>
But this isn't it!
There's something more to this, I know there is! _________________ I'm a pony!

Wow, that last page. Didn't see that coming whatsoever.
I don't think ANY of us would have guessed it. And looking back there's a lot of stuff that now falls into place with that reveal.
Makes me wonder though if Overlord was involved with the Institute? Strikes me that his sadistic mind would be involved with performing Shadowplay. _________________

DISTURBINGLY awesome. Absolutely ridiculously and darkly splendid. The last reveal.. I'm stunned, and my personal TF universe will never ever be the same. It was the anti-cliffhanger, not a foreshadowing of what's next but it makes you revisit the last few million years of TF history up to the departure of Nova's crew and everything since and wet your pants. It all makes a sick sense, and you wonder just who else.. is it anyone with those.. 'appendages'? anyone with a head piece like Whirl? I'm completely drained. I don't know if I have anything left for RID.. but I'm going to dive in anyhow. _________________ My opinions are just that. I know. This book is truly a game-changer not because it does anything revolutionary storywise with the here and now, but because it makes you go back and completely re-evaluate a character's actions in this light. ESPECIALLY when he's STILL up to stuff in the here and now...
On that note, it would be a smart idea of IDW to put all their stories featuring Shockwave on sale over at Comixology in the near future.
EDIT: Also, I'd argue this issue adds more fuel to the "Roller = Tarn" fire. I could see him joining the Decepticons if only because of the fact that, well, look at what the establishment did to their benefactor. Whether or not he trusted the Senator, it's still a horrific fate. _________________

Hmm.. if Roller IS Tarn, it could definitely explain why he's so against the establishment and sees the Con cause in light of its anti establishment movement. And why he'd be such a zealot for those that abandon the cause. But.. he'd have to be one of the few original members of the DJD still alive. I think Roberts mentioned that the names recycle when a DJD member is killed. What a mind screw it would be to Pax to learn that TWO of his most trusted allies from the old days... *shudder* _________________ My opinions are just that. | Well, I didn't see that coming. Between that, Red Alert, and Rung, my feels have reached maximum capacity for the day. |

He doesn't have to be an original DJD member - someone could have died and he got promoted into the ranks.
| Quote: | | For that matter, have Prime/Shockwave ever really directly interacted in the IDW books? As I imagine he's well aware of what the Institute did. Recall as well that Shockwave's mind wasn't changed - only his personality. So he's still the same scientific genius and forward thinker, only now without emotion or logic about it. |
