At first glance, I'm not sure Guidi meshes with Griffith's style as well as Cahill did, or Milne and Roche do (although it's certainly orders of magnitude less jarring than International Incident). It's good art, just takes some time to get used to.
I think Starsceam narrating really adds a lot to this story, it gives a legitimate sense of mystery that the main 'con genuinely has no idea what happened. _________________ Cattleprod's guide to upcoming releases.

Agreed. Prowl is VERY suspicious. Heck - I'd be intrigued if rather than the story being a "Megatron comes back and he's pissed" type story, we instead get | Quote: | | "Starscream hits rock bottom, and then Megatron turns up to expose Prowl." |

Still curious to see if the character returning in RiD #14 is going to be the "old friend" showing up this issue. He's certainly someone I don't think ANYONE would describe as an "old friend." _________________

Pretty amazing preview. I agree on Prowl (just tweeted it). He's very suspicious. _________________ Twitter: @lukeabarnett

After reading this preview, I am wondering if the old friend is a fighting mad Metroplex, ready to assault anyone in Cybertron based on the events in these pages. Given some of the upcoming spotlights it wouldn't he odd for him to show up. |

The difference in death toll (or at least, damaged to the point of being inactive) between the postwar political drama RiD and the quote-unquote voyage into the dangerous unknown MTMTE continues to amaze.
Seems war is actually safer than post-war. Probably because in a war, the politicians tend to be a lot further away _________________ Facsimiles are people II |

This looks really good. Tomorrow will be a big day... hopefully not short-circuited by thanksgiving. I still remember all those aggravating delays holidays gone by. I'm hoping that's why they decided to get both of them out this week _________________ My opinions are just that. Judging from reviews, sounds like this might be the best issue of RiD yet... auuuugh, I need this in my hands NOW. _________________

Better than the RID Annual?
Hmm....we'll see. If Megatron is the "Old friend" they were hinting at then odds are that he'll just be a cliffhanger and not in this issue beyond that.
Hopefully they'll tell us know what's up with the Ironhide and company to make up for it. _________________

This preview, and this storytelling, are exactly why I like RID so much (and, while I also like MTMTE, this is the book I look forward to the most every month).
As always, love Guido's art. Wish he could have a regular monthly book to develop artistically and not just have to mesh to other artists' style (which he is an expert at).
Love having the storyline told from Starscream's perspective. Really like seeing how he views himself, and I actually really like the idea of him starting to want what is best for Cybertron... in addition to himself.
As for who pulled the trigger? I am VERY afraid that it will turn out to be Prowl, but I hope it isn't. He is, to me, such an interesting character that I don't want him devolving to being a villain, and then being defeated and gone. |
