Jericho Update

Hello Fellow Rangers,

The UHD Jericho Message Board is down. NBC Message Boards were attacked by hackers. For now, we will be utilizing the Jericho Rising Face Book Page for Communication and Messages. <<http://www.facebook.com/groups/JerichoRising/>>

I know it has been six months since we first heard about the potential deal with Netflix to revive Jericho. We need to stay the course and let them know we are still here. Now that the elections are over and the Fall TV season is in full swing they will be looking at the Spring and Summer TV seasons. We need to remind them that Jericho and its millions of fans are still here waiting for it's return.

Due to the continued success of Revolution and the phenomenal success of the Walking Dead (both an adaptation of a graphic novel and post apocalyptic story lines), Jericho is a hot ready-made product for CBS Studios to capitalize on. We need to continue to get the word out and keep the pressure on CBS and Netflix.

Netflix Drew: No worries, Tom! So you're just wondering if there's still the possibility of the new Season of Jericho being added to the selection, right?

Fan Tom: yes, exactly

Netflix Drew: Okay, I'll be right back and see just what I can find!

Netflix Drew: Okay, so it definitely looks like we'll be adding the new season to the selection. Smile

I don't have an exact ETA on when it will be here but we work as hard as we possibly can to add as many new and more shows and movies as often as we possibly can!

Fan Tom: ok, just to clarify..... this is new, unaired season?

Fan Tom: as it was cancelled in 2008

Netflix Drew: It looks like that's what we're planning to do!

Fan Tom: I lve you! hehe

Netflix Drew: That's what we do it for! haha

AMC And Netflix Near Deal To Resurrect ‘The Killing’

This will NOT have any effect on the Netflix-Jericho deal. AMC had announced their interest in a murder mystery BEFORE The Killing was canceled AND while the Jericho talks were in progress.

AMC studio was in favor of this deal AND the cast was still under contract.

Congrats to The Killing fans, perhaps now their posts will become less hostile (to other fan groups).

CBS now working with Hulu and Amazon Prime

This could increase Jericho's digital syndication level and opens up other markets for any new Jericho episodes.

CBS calls for industry to use live plus 7 day ratings instead of overnight ratings.

Things certainly have changed in the last five years! CBS now wants to use the type of ratings that the Jericho fans wanted them to use. CBS sees the shrinking ad dollars for broadcast TV and that is why they are fighting for better ratings. This is precisely the reason that CBS Studios wants to make shows for Netflix - they need another revenue stream.

While the thought of a continuation of a new season of Jericho thrills me to tears. I have to ask, where the hell are the rest of the Season 4 comic books? Have IDW cancelled them or what?

What happened to the NBC Universal boards? Did Sandy flood the data center where the servers were located?

The season 4 comic was delayed until 2013.

NBC got hacked and all of their boards were taken down. The UHD baord is back up.
