Rarity!
Why do I like Rarity? I think it's because I find her to be the deepest character of the Mane 6. She's the Element of Generosity, yet on many levels she's arrogant, pretentious, snobby, and self-centered. I have this mental image of Rarity constantly being at war with herself over what her desires tell her to do versus. what her heart tells her is right... like she wants to do the right thing but there's always that little voice whispering in her ear telling her to focus less on others and more on what she wants.
Plus, she owns a cat. And cat owners are never bad peop... err, ponies! |

I love Rainbow Dash the most, but Rarity and Twilight are tied for second for me. Part of why I love Dash is while she can be a total blunt jerk (which is a contrast to the other ponies), she also has her vulnerable moments. I also like that she's tough and spunky which seems to be the type of character I usually gravitate towards.
Rarity I didn't like initially. For a while she was the stereotypical girly pony and I didn't have any interest in her. But then the writers proved me wrong with Dog and Pony Show. I also relate to her quite a bit as a fellow professional artist, Suited for Success can be painful to watch because of it! haha
Twilight grew on me over time. I like that even though on the surface she seems perfect and powerful, she can be very flawed. Love me some depth.
Part of the good thing about MLP is even though I have my favorites, I can't sit and say I have a least favorite or dislike any of the characters. Pinkie/Fluttershy/AJ are still pretty awesome, I just like them a little less. AJ is just at natural disadvantage with her having like 1 episode a millennium, but I know she has potential to be totally great after her whole "Welp, I didn't learn nothin' cause I was right" lesson. |

Well, my daughter and I both love Pinkie Pie above the rest. But as you both have said they all have such value. Pinkie stands above the rest though for us.
Bella notes Twilight arriving in Ponyville and loves and laughs at PP's reaction to her. My wife often reads the children's books we have and that scene is there and she loves it.
I love that Pinkie has lots of weirdness, craziness but also such a heartwarming backstory. Her songs are awesome too! _________________ Twitter: @lukeabarnett

Seven people have made incorrect decisions. Applejack is best pony and only correct choice. She doesn't get as much time as the others but that's because she's the most emotionally stable and mature one of the lot. |

I went with Rainbow Dash, because tomboy. Also wings are awesome.
It's a bit of a tie with Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie though. Twilight Sparkle is probably the pony I'm most like, and Pinkie's just... awesome. _________________

One of the reasons I love this show is because of how difficult this question is.
I would say... Rainbow Dash, because her friendship with the others is in my opinion the most believable.
Dash and Fluttershy - Foalhood friends from Cloudsdale.
Dash and Applejack - Vitriolic best buds / Athletic rivals.
Dash and Pinkie Pie - Pranking accomplices.
More recently, she has got an interest in Twilight's favourite novels.
Next step: Rainbow Dash always dresses in style. |

I can't decide.
Rainbow Dash is fun
Pinkie Pie makes me laugh the most like a modern day Bugs Bunny (ignoring that the modern day Bugs Bunny is a sitcom character)
Fluttershy actually makes me *daww*
Applejack has her moments,
Twilight Sparkle amuses me
Rarity....is okay. |

Initially it was Applejack, for sure. Still love her a lot now, but I've gotta say it's so totally Fluttershy now. Her mad shyness and overt passiveness just hits too close to home. _________________ The biggest disability in life is a bad attitude. |

Great responses, love that it's kinda evenly spread. They're all wonderful characters and the writers have done a pretty good job on shining the light on them throughout the series.
I realized that I think I'm possibly most like TS - she comes across as the older, more mature of the group often - mainly through her studies. She's originally an outsider that found it hard to make friends, but through the tight group she becomes central to them being a group. Lots of funny coincidences that I've reflected from my own life. Even with the inherent gender difference and nature of the cartoon, it's cool that I can still identify with it to a degree, and I love asking my daughter Bella why she loves different bits of the stories. _________________ Twitter: @lukeabarnett

Fluttershy!
Why? Because I like myself and she reminds me of myself, especially my younger self. _________________ Admin @ The Great Rebellion - Collector's Club

Woo hoo! *high hoof* Funny enough...Flutter has had the least amount of typed out responses yet she's winning. Aww the people who voted for her are even too shy to post it. =P _________________ The biggest disability in life is a bad attitude. |
