| I am a bit disappointed by Megatron's return. Gather troops, all that power, war all over again? But, if it plays in some other, unexpected way, it will be fine with me. Also, i suspect, that Starscream wont choose Megatron's side, which is coll. |

UM1 - so i was right , its set in the ongoing time!! Dodgy info you've been receiving there buddy!!!  Only kidding, i reckon you might be right and it will be a mix of when he came back and origin period a bit like in Chaos Theory?
But back to those solicits..... too excited to comment properly!!! You know these books are good when you get this excited over some bloody solicits!!! February though, thats ages away!! Gaaaahhh!!!
I'm still reckoning Chromedome may not turn out to not be quite the nice guy everyone thinks he is, especially after he injects overlord - i'm guessing thats what this implies?
Bloody hell - February!!!! Need time machine now!!! 
EDIT- That RID cover, I think the two stood over wheeljack are megatron (back in his ongoing design  I preferred the original cybertron megs desgin) and who's the other one holding the sword??
EDIT2 - Whats Scorpy holding over grimlock in RG1???

Roche lied to me (indirectly its second hand information long story)
But I knew he was returning but there was so many against it I was afraid to say too much.
The post above yours has a link to a thread I did months ago showing the evidence he was coming back.
Im happy about it. I know many arent.
EDIT Chromedome is Agent 113
You know there is a slight chance Im still right,
In Shadowplay Megatron is away somewhere. We know about the decepticons being a group causing trouble. Maybe SS is in charge during this time and Megatron returns from where ever he is to unite the cons who maybe dont like SSs rule and have broken away and are causing trouble. Megs unites the cons but spares SS as he sees potential in him.
Its a slight chance that Nick didnt lie after all

See, I think Starscream's big change in the RID annual is going to be HUGELY important here. Before now, if Megatron had come back - really, the Decepticons wouldn't have had a good reason not to just join back under him and start the war up again. As such, I think most of us were - I certainly was - in no big hurry to see him come back. But NOW, the cons actually have an alternative, a REAL REASON to say "No thanks, Megatron, it was cool and all, but we've got Starscream now. He's the Messiah, or haven't you heard? We'll catch you later." The paradigm is changed - there's a possibility of a new and different future for the Decepticons that DOESN'T require Megatron. How he'll react to that, and how the 'cons will react to his return... oooh, I am looking FORWARD to seeing that. |

Before now, if Megatron had come back - really, the Decepticons wouldn't have had a good reason not to just join back under him and start the war up again. As such, I think most of us were - I certainly was - in no big hurry to see him come back. But NOW, the cons actually have an alternative, a REAL REASON to say "No thanks, Megatron, it was cool and all, but we've got Starscream now. He's the Messiah, or haven't you heard? We'll catch you later." The paradigm is changed - there's a possibility of a new and different future for the Decepticons that DOESN'T require Megatron. He's a sneaky man!!! I was only winding you up BTW buddy, didn't mean ti to come across negative - the excitement of those solicits got me all giddy I think!!
I think you're right as well with this writer and the Starscream thing you/Chris mentioned him coming back is gonna make things really interesting. Had forgotten about the coing back thread, everyone is posting too quickly!!
Hmmm - not sure Chromedome is agent 113, i think James' comment in the Q&A thread that a deceased member of the DJD looked VERY like crosscut makes it appear like it was probs skids. But like i said he's not the nice guy everyone thinks and i wouldn't be surprised if he was involved. Why didn't he tell skids when he read him? And if it was that bad why hasn't he told anyone about it? Either he didn't see much and pulled out too soon or he's hiding something i reckon. Poor old rewind is defo gonna have broken spark sometime soon i reckon!!

Well it seems that Bludgeon has been in contact with Megs anyway. I suspect the DJD won't be crossing over into RiD as they are Robert's antagonists though. I would like the crossovers to be subtle at this early-ish stage. I wonder who that other guy with the gun is over Wheeljack. Is that Megatron? |

I think one of them is. Cant make out the other.
You know I wish all of us could head out for a few drinks and discuss this. I cant type my theories quick enough.

i see mister 'boring/bland posed robot' cover artist is back for Megatrons spotlight.
it IS very nicely painted/rendered, i'll give em that. but its just so dull looking. And i cant say im too taken by Livio's latest go on covers. that megatron, something about the face just rubs me wrong.
But my, my! the return of Megatron! and the return of a nick roche written/drawn issue! And Overlord!
February IDW really knows how to wine and dine a fella! |

Aha, i'd put the guy with the gun down as being megs as we know he's back and what we can see of the torso looks like that ongoing design they seem to sticking with ( I still prefer the original IDW design). Hadn't worked out the one with the sword was bludgeon though and think you're right there. That also implies megs is involved with Jhiaxus too then yeah? If so theres a lot of plot strings being pulled together/woven here....

| Amusingly, if the Con's do reject Megatron in favour of Starscream...then the DJD (if they ever did crossover) will now have to execute ALL the Decepticons. I like that idea. A slowly shrinking band of out-of-touch fundamentalists. Arguing for the letter of a cause rather than its spirit. |

It could cause a split. Some going with SS and others not and siding with their founder.
And theres Metalhawk and his group the Nails who maybe are the biggest group on Cybertron.
